Welcome Thank you for coming Today we continue to study The Lord’s Prayer Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us Foundation and Ignite leave at 9:45. Roots leaves a little later. In Christ Alone In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song; this Cornerstone, this solid Ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My Comforter, my All in All, here in the love of Christ I stand. . In Christ alone! who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones he came to save: Till on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid; Here in the death of Christ I live. There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain: Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave he rose again! And as He stands in victory Sin's curse has lost its grip on me, For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ. No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me; From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand; Till He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I'll stand. The Writing on the Wall Jesus’ Love is Very Wonderful Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Oh wonderful love. So high you can’t get over it, So low you can’t get under it, So wide you can’t get round it, Oh wonderful love. Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Jesus’ love is very wonderful, Oh wonderful love. So high you can’t get over it, So low you can’t get under it, So wide you can’t get round it, Oh wonderful love. Ignite and Foundation families go to their activities. If we stay in here today, Or go to a different place, Thank you God that you are there, So we can seek your face. Amen Cornerstone My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly trust in Jesus’ name. Christ alone; cornerstone; Weak made strong in the Saviour’s love. Through the storm He is LORD, LORD of all. When darkness seems to hide His face I rest on His unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale My anchor holds within the veil. My anchor holds within the veil. Christ alone; cornerstone; Weak made strong in the Saviour’s love. Through the storm He is LORD, LORD of all. When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless I stand before the throne. Christ alone; cornerstone; Weak made strong in the Saviour’s love. Through the storm He is LORD, LORD of all. Here is Love Here is love, vast as the ocean Loving kindness as the flood When the Prince of Life, our Ransom Shed for us His precious blood, Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He will never be forgotten Throughout Heaven's eternal days On the mount of crucifixion Fountains opened deep and wide Through the floodgates of God's mercy Flowed a vast and gracious tide Grace and love, like mighty rivers Poured incessant from above And Heaven's peace and perfect justice Kissed a guilty world in love Who His love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He will never be forgotten Throughout Heaven's eternal days The Unforgiving Servant Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us Sin is a deadly disease. It separates us from God eternally. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us When Jesus died he took all our sins in his body on the cross and offered us his righteousness. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us But there is a condition – we must forgive others in the same way Christ forgave us. We say sorry to God and ask for help to change direction We are sorry: • For the wrong things we have done • For the things we have not done We receive God’s forgiveness because he is true to his promise. We live new lives with God’s Holy Spirit in us We must forgive others. Corrie Ten Boom The Hiding Place Sharing Peace Amazing Grace Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. ‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun. A time to pray… The Lord’s Prayer Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen. When I survey the wondrous Cross When I survey the wondrous cross On which the prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ, my God: All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to his blood. See from his head, his hands, his feet, Sorrow and love flow mingling down: Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were an offering far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all. The Grace May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all, evermore. Amen.
