This course is Free to all participants. AWR 160 On-line Course Instructions: Participants can complete this on-line course at their convenience. After enrollment, participants have up to 6 months to complete the course and receive their certificate. This course is available all day, every day and there is no fee. Participants are required to provide a valid email address. Preparation and Information: 1. Go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/ and get your FEMA Student Identification (SID) number. Participants taking this FREE on-line training must enter their SID number at the point of registration. It only takes minutes to get your SID number. On completion of this on-line course, you will have obtained your FEMA SID number, a TEEX ID number and your AWR-160 certificate. The AWR160 certificate is a prerequisite for PER212 Pro-Board OPS training. Bring your SID number, TEEX ID number and a copy of your AWR-160 Certificate on the first day of the PER-212 class (WMD OPS). Please Be Prepared! Students participating in FEMA provided training are required to provide their FEMA Student Identification (SID) number starting January 1, 2013. Your FEMA SID uniquely identifies you throughout the FEMA organization and all of its agencies. It serves as your personal identification number and combines all of your FEMA training records under one account to simplify tracking of all your FEMA training accomplishments. Participants must provide their FEMA SID number at the time of registration for the AWR 160 On-line Course. Please see above for instructions to easily obtain a FEMA SID number or to retrieve your SID number if you have forgotten it. 2. After registration and before the start of the on-line course material, participants are offered the opportunity to take a course content ‘pre-test’. The pre-test includes 36 multiple- choice questions relating to the AWR 160 on-line course content and can be completed in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. 3. Participants that display mastery and pass the course ‘pretest’ with a 70% or higher score can proceed directly to obtain a course certificate. 4. Participants must complete the DHS Course Evaluation before obtaining their certification. If a participant ‘passed’ the pre-test, the participant must still complete the evaluation as applicable or non-applicable as appropriate. 5. Participants will have future access to their personal training records by logging in with their individual TEEX ID (user name) and unique password – issued upon successful registration for the course. 6. If a participant is not able to complete the course in the same sitting, once registered, a participant can sign in and out as needed and the course will continue at the last point of entry.
