AWR 160 On-line Course Instructions:
Participants can complete this on-line course at their convenience. After enrollment,
participants have up to 6 months to complete the course and receive their certificate.
This course is available all day, every day and there is no fee. Participants are required
to provide a valid email address.
Preparation and Information:
1. Go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/ and get your FEMA Student Identification (SID)
number. Participants taking this FREE on-line training must enter their SID number
at the point of registration. It only takes minutes to get your SID number.
On completion of this
on-line course, you will
have obtained your
FEMA SID number, a
TEEX ID number and
your AWR-160
certificate. The AWR160 certificate is a
prerequisite for PER212 Pro-Board OPS
training. Bring your
SID number, TEEX ID
number and a copy of
your AWR-160
Certificate on the first
day of the PER-212
class (WMD OPS).
Please Be Prepared!
Students participating in FEMA provided training are required to provide their FEMA Student Identification (SID)
number starting January 1, 2013. Your FEMA SID uniquely identifies you throughout the FEMA organization and
all of its agencies. It serves as your personal identification number and combines all of your FEMA training
records under one account to simplify tracking of all your FEMA training accomplishments.
To obtain your FEMA SID, please visit https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/
Please visit the FEMA SID web site to do any of the following.
•To register for your FEMA SID if you do not already have one,
•To retrieve your FEMA SID if you have forgotten it, and
•To obtain additional information about the FEMA SID.
.
Participants must provide their FEMA SID number at the time of registration for
the AWR 160 On-line Course. Please see above for instructions to easily obtain
a FEMA SID number or to retrieve your SID number if you have forgotten it.
2. After registration and before the start of the on-line course material, participants are
offered the opportunity to take a course content ‘pre-test’. The pre-test includes 36
multiple- choice questions relating to the AWR 160 on-line course content and can
be completed in as little as 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Participants that display mastery and pass the course ‘pretest’ with a 70% or
higher score can proceed directly to obtain a course certificate.
4. Participants must complete the DHS Course Evaluation before obtaining their
certification. If a participant ‘passed’ the pre-test, the participant must still complete
the evaluation as applicable or non-applicable as appropriate.
5. Participants will have future access to their personal training records by logging in
with their individual TEEX ID (user name) and unique password – issued upon
successful registration for the course.
6. If a participant is not able to complete the course in the same sitting, once
registered, a participant can sign in and out as needed and the course will continue
at the last point of entry. The ‘complete’ course length is 2 to 4 hours pending the
participant’s current knowledge and experience base.
