The Fund will typically invest in equities, bonds, commodities and property securities throughout the world, in accordance with an asset allocation that seeks to achieve a combination of income and long-term capital growth as the year 2030 is approached. Other than for purposes of hedging and/or efficient portfolio management, financial derivative instruments will also be used for investment purposes to achieve the Fund's investment objectives.

The fund has an asset allocation mix that aims to maximise potential returns by investing in a more aggressive portfolio of global equities during the wealth building years. As one moves through the different stages of a life cycle, the asset allocation portfolio will “roll down” to a conservative portfolio to minimise downside risk by investing in less risky assets such as bonds. When you reach the year 2030, you can either take the money or choose to invest in the Fidelity Funds – Live Today Fund to enjoy the benefits of receiving a regular income.
