Course Descriptions
NSTP 111 CIVIC WELFARE TRAINING SERVICE I. - A prerequisite course designed to acquaint
students with the philosophy, mission, objectives and principles of the university and NSTP
department in molding students to be the first class citizens of their respective community and
country. It orients students about: Legal Bases of NSTP, Philippines Constitution, Flag Heraldic Code
of the Philippines, Values, Volunteer Act of 2007, Drug Education, Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management, Environmental Protection, and National Security Concerns. It prepares the mind of
the student for community service.
NSTP 122 CIVIC WELFARE TRAINING SERVICE II. - A course designed to determine the students’ area
of interest for service. It orient students about: Knowledge of oneself, Roots of Filipino Character,
Nationalism and Patriotism, Good Citizenship, Leadership, Dimensions and areas of community
development. It builds their capacity to serve well, develop positive attitude and passion for the
actual community immersion.
One Summer Program
A course combination of NSTP 111 and NSTP 122 that could be accomplished during summer with
the same minimum number of hours within six weeks in lieu of First and Second semester.
NSTP 111 LITERACY TRAINING SERVICE I. - A prerequisite course designed to acquaint students with
the philosophy, mission, objectives and principles of the university and NSTP department in molding
students to be the first class citizens of their respective community and country. It orients students
