The band made its debut in April 2012 with close to 800 spins on rotation and
numerous spotlights on BDS stations. “Bring me to Life” has already been
featured in podcast spots within Nova Scotia as well. The acoustic version of
“Here I Am” has also been featured on New Brunswick flag ship
station105.3TheFoxlocatedin Fredericton NB. With supporters from CBC Radio,
NEWCAP, ASRTAL, and EVANOV, illustrating that LevyStep has been a rising
act within the industry. The album “These Times” has been nominated for Rock
Album and Inspirational Album of the year at Music Nova Scotia Awards. The
band approached numerous producers for this project and it finally found a home
that seemed to be the best fit at the Pocket Studios. Produced by former Our
Lady Peace and now Crash Karmas guitarist Mike Turner. This album brought
more attention within the industry that caught the ears of former guitarist of the
band Moist, Mark Mackoway who took the mixing portion for the album. Former
Harem Scarem’s Harry Hess was pleased to take the project under his wing at
Vespa Music Group for the final master. “These Times” has made it through
multiple Canadian Icon hands and rise to a national recognition. Working with
Linda Dawe from Music Solutions helped launched the first single “Hope” across
the country and the US charting in the top100 on NBS stations. Performing at the
2012 IWK Telethon showcased the bands new single on CTV. The band has
been featured on numerous shows with radio stations, as well have had
numerous print reviews. With over 250,000 views on YouTube for their videos
with fans from US, Cyprus, Russia, Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Portugal,
Sweden, and Australia. The other releases "Reality of Today" and "Bring me to
Life" was under the direction from SpinCount. With SpinCount having both
singles current on all media outlets across the country. LevyStep is still active on
NBS charts.
