Job Summary for Clinical Interviewer S. Alexandra Burt, Ph.D. Psychology Department Job Summary: The Twin Study of Behavioral and Emotional Development in Children (TBED-­‐C) at Michigan State University is seeking a part-­‐time (10 hrs per week) Clinical Interviewer. The clinical interviewer will be responsible for conducting standardized clinical interviews with children ages 6 to 10 for a Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) funded research project examining the relationships between neighborhood characterisitcs, parenting, and acting out behaviors in children. Interviewers must be available on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays). The position will begin as early as mid May 2012 and will include a competitive salary. The desired candidate will also possess the following qualities: • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of Social Science (e.g., psychology, social work). • Graduate level coursework in the areas of clinical interviewing and child psychopathology. • Strong communication skills, particularly in regards to interacting with children and families. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred: • Master’s Degree in a relevant field of Social Science (e.g., clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, school psychology). • Relevant experience working with children and/or conducting clinical interviews Please contact Sandra Ruiz, project coordinator if you are interested. ruizs@msu.edu
