PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS We have created our course to be as convenient as possible for the student. The goal is for you to comprehend and absorb the material. ELIGIBILTY: The Department of State determines program eligibility, which is confirmed by mail (EIP cannot submit your results to the State unless you have received this letter). Court referrals (those who have not received a letter from the Department of State) cannot complete this program on line and must complete this program in a classroom. USER QUALIFICATIONS: You must have some basic computer skills to complete the online course. Our program is very user friendly. HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: In order to use our system to take this course, your system must meet the following requirements, in addition to internet access: A PC or Mac Running: • Windows 95 / 98 / NT / ME / 2K / XP / Vista / Windows 7 • Mac OS 9 (and greater) / OS X (and greater) (please use Firefox) An Internet Browser: • Firefox 1.0(and greater) • Internet Explorer 5.5 (and greater) Note: The programs functionality is limited when using the Safari and AOL browser. Note: Mac users please use the Firefox browser. REGISTERING & PAYMENT: Enroll using a credit card – Use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. Enroll and pay securely on-line and begin right away. COURSE COST: The course tuition is $59.95 and includes the course and all reporting to the state (your test results are submitted to the State electronically). The course tuition is non-refundable once you have started. You must complete by the due date provided by the State (at 11:59 pm on the date determined by the State the program will be disabled). It is advisable to complete the course at least 1-2 business days prior to your completion due date. The program averages 4 hours to complete, please allow ample time to complete your program. LOGIN ID & PASSWORD: When you register, you will choose your own Login ID and Password. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY SPACES WHEN CREATING YOUR LOGIN ID. Please write these down so you will be able to access the course with ease. You will also be sent an email with this information. If you forget your password, click on “Forgot my password” in the Login ID and Password box. COURSE LENGTH & FEATURES: We have created our course to be as convenient as possible for the student. Please plan on 4 hours to complete. You may complete the program in one sitting or use your Login ID and Password multiple times to complete the course according to your own schedule within 30 calendar days of registering. The goal is for you to comprehend and absorb the materials. The on-screen timers are not turned on for our course. At the end of each section there are simple review questions. These are not counted toward your final score. Once you complete all course modules you will then take the final quiz and submit your answers. The final quiz is not timed so you will have as long as needed to complete. You will need to score at least 70% on the final exam to pass the course. The computer will calculate your final grade for you and you will know immediately if you have passed. In the unlikely event you do not score 70% you will be able to take quiz a second time automatically. Should you not pass, please contact us at (248) 693-0336. Before taking any breaks, make sure to close the module you are currently in by clicking on the Log-Out tab at the top of the screen. HELPFUL REMINDERS: • Be sure to click “Log Out” at the top of the screen when logging off each time you exit to properly retain time spent in each section. • Do not use your “back” button on your browser while taking this course. UPON COURSE COMPLETION: Once you have successfully completed the program EIP is sent notification and submits the results to the State.
