INTRODUCTION TO POSTECH SUMMER PROGRAM
RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP
POSTECH Summer Program is a great opportunity for
students who seek firsthand research experience. Individual
Research and Korean Cultural Program will allow students
to explore the academic field of their interest and unique
Korean culture & language.
KRW 300,000
* Students participating in the Campus English Program are not
eligible for the scholarship.
HOUSING FEE
KRW 10,000/day (Maximum: KRW 400,000/semester)
* International exchange students will be generally assigned to
DICE (Dormitory for International Cultural Exchange). Students
should pay housing fees within 2 weeks after their arrival.
* Housing fees caused by early check-out will not be refunded.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
ELIGIBILITY
Currently enrolled undergraduate/graduate students in
partner universities of POSTECH.
ADVISING PROFESSOR
All applicants are required to identify a supervising
professor-to-be at POSTECH on the application form. The
identified professor will determine the applicant’s
admission.
Week 1: Explore POSTECH and Pohang
Week 2: Experience Modern Korean Culture
Week 3: Learn Traditions of Korea
Week 4: Make Your Summer Memorable: Mud Festival
Week 5: Wrap-up: Special Lecture & Final Presentation
* Detailed schedule will be announced to partner universities by
the end of March.
* Additional charges may occur for some activities.
KOREAN LANGUAGE CLASS
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Students will not receive any credits for their research
participation and Korean language class. Certificate of
Completion will be issued at the end of the program.
‘ISSS Korean Language Class’ will be held once every week.
POSTECH Language Center* will provide regular Korean
classes for all international members.
