Challenge
Bank One Corporation is the fourth largest bank holding company in the United States with
assets of more than $250 billion USD. The company’s business demands a faster, more
reliable and integrated system for business transactions. The merger of Banc One Corporation
and First Chicago NBD added a new dimension to the complexity, that of data migration and
systems integration across multiple transaction platforms. With multiple SAP™ instances, as
well as numerous legacy applications needing immediate integration, there was an increasing
demand for time and resources. The challenge was to find quality technical resources with
banking industry experience so that the cycle time from specification to production could be
minimized.
Solution
CyberTech formed two teams of consultants to address this challenge. They performed a quick
assessment of the complex needs. The CAPRICE Methodology was used to define the
reporting requirements. Firstly, a team utilized Mercator interface tools to create the interfaces
and migration programs. A second team focused on development of reports specific to the
industry and organizations needs. The cross-functional experience and strong technical
background of the consultants enabled CyberTech to deliver the 32 data interfaces in a very
short duration.
