The strikingly beautiful Morris Inn provides premier wedding venues in the heart of the University of Notre Dame.
As the center of hospitality on campus, our commitment to excellence ensures cherished memories that last a
lifetime. The elegance of our William and Mary Ann Smith Ballroom with pre-reception area, classically appointed
private dining rooms, and landscaped courtyard terrace offers stunning spaces for your celebration. We can also offer
the McKenna Hall Atrium with its soaring ceilings. Under the direction of Executive Chef Ross Olling, the skilled
culinary team and friendly, professional staff attends to every detail to guarantee that your special day is perfect.
We offer a variety of wedding package plans. Should you prefer a menu of your own design, our Executive Chef
will work with you to create a delicious meal prepared to your specifications. Menus for rehearsal dinners, farewell
brunches, bridal showers and luncheons may also be planned. Let us help make your Notre Dame wedding truly

SMITH BALLROOM CAPACITY AND MINIMUMS
Morris Inn Ballroom can accommodate up to 280 wedding guests with a dance floor. The wedding food and beverage
minimum for our ballroom space is based on the day and time of the event:
• Friday Evening: $10,000
• Saturday Day: $8,000
• Saturday Evening: $14,000
Pre-function reception space, located just outside the ballroom, offers an area to gather for cocktails and
hors d’oeuvres and to enjoy campus views prior to dinner. In the Indiana spring, summer and fall months, it may be
possible to have cocktails on our Wind Family Fireside Terrace before heading into the ballroom for your wedding
reception and dancing.

Private Dining Rooms Capacity and Minimums
The Private Dining Rooms at Morris Inn can accommodate up to 100 guests with a dance floor. The wedding food
and beverage minimum for this space is $1,500.
McKenna Hall Atrium Capacity and Minimums
The McKenna Hall Atrium can accommodate up to 350 guests with a dance floor. The wedding food and beverage
minimum for this space is based on the day and time of the event:
• Friday Evening: $5,000
• Saturday Day: $4,000
• Saturday Evening: $7,000
RESERVATIONS AND DEPOSITS
When you select Morris Inn for your reception, a signed contract and non-refundable $2,000 deposit is required; this
amount may be made via cash, check or credit card. A Beverage Event Order (BEO) including your menu selection
and event details will be prepared for your signature two months prior to your event. An additional deposit equal to
50% of the anticipated cost will be due at that time. The final guaranteed guest count and table setup needs are due
with the estimated final deposit payment five days prior to your reception. Any additional charges incurred during
the reception will be taken from the deposit. If no additional charges are incurred during the reception, we will
refund the $2,000 deposit.
GUEST ROOM ACCOMMODATIONS
We welcome you and your guests to stay at Morris Inn. Our 150 guest rooms provide two queen-sized or one kingsized bed. Beautifully appointed bathrooms feature ceramic tile floors, glass-enclosed walk-in showers, makeup
mirrors and the finest amenities available. All of our rooms come with captivating views of the beautiful University of
Notre Dame campus. The bride and groom will receive a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a spacious
bridal suite for the bride and groom’s wedding night. A hotel room block of 20 rooms can be held for your family and
friends based on availability.

POLICIES
Due to Indiana health department regulation, banquet food or beverages not consumed may not be removed from
the location of service. In concurrence with the policy of the University, smoking is not allowed in the Morris Inn.
We will be happy to provide a listing of approved vendors for your floral and decorating needs upon request.
We reserve the right to confirm pricing 90 days prior to your event.
All prices are subject to a 20% administrative fee and 7% Indiana state sales tax.
WEDDING DETAILS
A customized diagram will be created for your reception. When you have completed your seating chart, please
provide a copy of the diagram to your Event Specialist. We ask that you number/name the tables per your chart, and
indicate the number of seats per table. If place cards are being used, please arrange them in alphabetical order, with
entrée selection clearly marked if you have offered your guests a choice of entrée.
We are happy to assist with placement of some of your wedding day items. Please arrange a time to leave them with
your Event Specialist one or two days prior to your reception. These items may include: guest place cards, favors,
menu cards, toasting flutes, cake knife, cake topper, table names or custom numbers, guest book or photo mat,
photos for memory table, and/or container for greeting cards.
Meal and beverage packages are available for guests aged 3 to 10. There is no charge for children under 3.
Adult guests under 21 will receive a $15 adult beverage discount off the menu price at time of confirmation.
It is customary to provide a meal for those vendors whose services are provided throughout the day of your wedding.
Your Event Specialist will be happy to discuss options with you.
MENU SAMPLING AND SELECTION
A private menu sampling scheduled three to six months prior to your wedding date allows an opportunity to sample
the food and discuss the details of your event with your Event Specialist. Tastings for up to four guests can be reserved
at 2:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday with two weeks advance notice. Included will be a sampling of hors d’oeuvres,
two salads, two entrées and our Morris Inn vanilla bean ice cream.
Chef Ross will be happy to accommodate special dietary needs for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free or other
restrictions.

BAR AND MENU SERVICES
Four-hour bar service is included in all evening wedding packages: one hour for the cocktail reception and three
additional hours following dinner. A champagne toast for all guests is provided for your celebration, with nonalcoholic sparkling beverages available. Daytime receptions will include one hour of passed champagne and mimosas,
with two hours of open bar following brunch. We are happy to provide our wine list should you wish to offer wine
service with your meal.
Please note: We require proof of age/ID and reserve the right to restrict the service of alcoholic beverages in
compliance with the policies of the University of Notre Dame and the State of Indiana.
