Presently, the institution is accredited for the following disciplines: General Medicine, Paediatrics, Radio-diagnosis, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Gynaecology, Surgery & Orthopaedics. Enrollment into DNB Course is open to all registered medical practitioners who graduated MBBS from an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India, as per the stipulations of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, who have cleared the CET/Primary examination of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi till December, 2009 1. All the eligible applicants will have to appear for Interview on 24th January, 2010 at 10.00 am onwards in SDMH Auditorium. Guidelines for interview would be as follows:(A) Interest in subject as assessed by candidate’s knowledge and understanding: (a) Knowledge (b) Clarity (c) Expression (B) Past academic record (with special reference to the Speciality the candidate seeking admission. The first year training fee is to be deposited before joining the training course and subsequent fees at the beginning of every year. - 2– 4. Those already in service must enclose with their application a letter of sponsorship and proof of study leave (or equivalent) from their employer before commencing their training. 5. Selected trainees will be rotated through various departments allied to their speciality. In addition, all trainees (other than those in General Medicine) will be expected to spend at least three months in General Medicine some time during their training. This rotation program will be administered by the DNB Committee of this hospital. The training will be essentially an in-service one supplemented by ward discussions/clinics, clinical meetings, journal club etc. 6. A parent unit will be assigned to each trainee for the purpose of thesis preparation etc. 7. Trainees are encouraged to attend teaching seminars, classes and symposia at SMS Medical College with prior permission of their unit/departmental heads. 8.
