Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital, a 350- bedded multispeciality institution,
was accredited by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, vide their
letters 12-(24)/ACC/Raj/II/83/-NBE/16148 dated 22.1.85 and 12-(24)/ACC/
Raj/NBE/6722 dated 20.10.97, for the purposes of training candidates to take
the National Board of Examinations. Presently, the institution is accredited for the
following disciplines: General Medicine,
Paediatrics, Radio-diagnosis,
Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Gynaecology, Surgery & Orthopaedics. Enrollment
into DNB Course is open to all registered medical practitioners who
graduated MBBS from an institution recognized by the Medical Council
of India, as per the stipulations of the National Board of Examinations,
New Delhi, who have cleared the CET/Primary examination of the
National Board of Examinations, New Delhi till December, 2009

All the eligible applicants will have to appear for Interview on
24th January, 2010 at 10.00 am onwards in SDMH Auditorium.
Guidelines for interview would be as follows:(A) Interest in subject as assessed by candidate’s knowledge and
understanding:
(a) Knowledge
(b) Clarity
(c) Expression
(B) Past academic record (with special reference to the Speciality the
candidate seeking admission.
The decision of the interviewing panel will be final.
Candidates attending interview will not be entitled for any TA/DA.

Once an applicant is selected and joins for training
speciality, change-over to another speciality is not allowed.

A selected candidate will have to deposit Rs. 50,000/= (Rupees Fifty
thousand only) per year being Tuition fee. The first year training fee is to be
deposited before joining the training course and subsequent fees at the
beginning of every year.

Those already in service must enclose with their application a letter of
sponsorship and proof of study leave (or equivalent) from their employer before
commencing their training.

Selected trainees will be rotated through various departments allied
to their speciality. In addition, all trainees (other than those in General
Medicine) will be expected to spend at least three months in General
Medicine some time during their training. This rotation program will be
administered by the DNB Committee of this hospital. The training will be
essentially an in-service one supplemented by ward discussions/clinics, clinical
meetings, journal club etc.

A parent unit will be assigned to each trainee for the purpose of thesis
preparation etc.
7.
Trainees are encouraged to attend teaching seminars, classes and
symposia at SMS Medical College with prior permission of their unit/departmental
heads.

All trainees must register with the
Council as per Government Rules.

Eligibility:
Candidates who have qualified DNB CET examinations/Primary
examinations till December 2009 are permitted to apply. Candidates who have
Diploma in respective subjects can apply for secondary seats.
How to apply:
(a)
Application forms can be obtained from our website: www.sdmh.in and
the completed forms may submit by post/by courier along with all relevant
documents and a demand draft of Rs.500/- in faour of
MEDICAL
SUPERINTENDENT, S.D.M. HOSPITAL, payable at Jaipur.
(b)
Application form can also be acquired in person or by post by paying
Rs. 500/- by cash/DD in favor of MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT, S.D.M.
HOSPITAL, payable at Jaipur. Only the numbered application forms obtained
from the hospital will be entertained. Separate application forms will be
accepted for each subject.
(c)
Fully filled application forms should reach office of Medical Superintendent

by 20 January 2010 (afternoon).
(d)
Incomplete forms are likely to be rejected. Please enter your contact

Aptitude Test:
All candidates shall report at 9.30 AM on 24th January 2010 in hospital
auditorium (first floor of Bank building) for interview. No separate call letter will
be sent. No TA/ DA will be paid. Please note the date & timing carefully and
report in time.
