The strategic management process includes analysis, issues, recommendations, and implementation. Note: Not all of the issues presented on the guidelines will be important to every case. One of the challenges of case analysis is to identify the most critical points and sort through the material that may be ambiguous and unimportant. a. Formatting of the written report is 1.5 space, 11 font, Times Roman. b. Highlight each question you want to addess in bold italics which you will take from the Presentation Guidelines. c. Highlight each Chapter you will use to answer that question under the question also in bold italics. d. The objective of the answer is not to state “facts” so please do not puff up the report with unnecessary information. It is quality and not quantity that counts. 8.2 Your Team Case Visual Presentation (approx.12 slides VISUALS ONLY ) is an oral presentation with a limit of 10 minutes including a short amount of time for Q & A FROM THE CRITQUING TEAM. A professional visual presentation should explain the issues or problems, the key analysis, and the recommended course of action. It Management 405.10-Fall, 2014 4 SDSU Management - MLS should be apparent that the presentation was carefully planned and coordinated (i.e., presenters should know their parts without confusion). The structure for the presentation must be announced and followed with transitions and internal summaries to help listeners follow the report. Presenters should not be tied to notes or address remarks to the visuals on the screen or the lectern instead of to listeners. Please review the College of Business Administration Oral Presentation Rubric on BB. 8.2 One student will be selected from each group by the Professor on the day of the presentation to make the team’s presentation. 8.3 You do not need to update the information in the case. Please explain what you are planning to do at the start of your presentation. 8.4 Review Chapter 13 of the Dess text for suggestions on how to Analyze Strategic Management cases. 8.5 Team Critique: In addition to presenting a team’s assigned case, your team is also to evaluate the presentation of team presenting the same case study and you will use the Team Case Evaluation Rubric. I will assign those case reviews to each team before at the presentation. 8.6 Team Member Peer Evaluation: A rubric is available on BB to evaluate your team members. Team members scoring less than 100% will have their grade reduced for the case presentation.
