Complete Your Medical Records
Three-quarters of SNHU undergraduate students live on our 300-acre
campus, and it’s easy to see why. From our extensive housing options
to our vibrant events calendar, residence life here is rich and full.
Each area has a live-in professional staff member (Residence
Director) who supervises the student Resident Assistant staff,
coordinates hall programming for the development of community,
acts as a liaison for offices that provide support services for the
resident students and provides referral to students in need of
personal assistance.
Your Residence Agreement and Residence Preference forms are due
two weeks after you send in your deposit. Visit my.snhu.edu/orientation to
complete your forms or contact Residence Life at 603.645.9758 or
housingquestions@snhu.edu.
SNHU cares about you and wants to help keep you healthy and happy.
All students must have a completed medical record form on file with
SNHU Health Services.
• Please visit my.snhu.edu/orientation to complete your health
form before you arrive in September and your insurance waiver
form before August 1 (if applicable).
Our health service staff members include a full time Registered
Nurse and a full time Licensed Practical Nurse. Health Services offers
treatment of common acute problems (e.g., colds, flu, and burns),
personal health counseling, education on preventative medicine,
information on birth control, referral for sexually transmitted infections
testing and assistance processing insurance claims. Health Services
is a licensed facility and must follow guidelines established by the NH
Department of Health and Human Services. At the discretion of the
nurse, students will be referred out to the University Medical Director,
or another medical facility off site for further evaluation and treatment.
If you have any questions, please contact the Wellness Center
at 603.645.9679 or wellness@snhu.edu.

Up-To-Date Anti-Virus
Anti-Virus is important as it scans your computer to ensure that
viruses are identified and quarantined/removed before they cause
further damage. Please make sure you have the latest Virus
Definitions file. Please feel free to contact us with any questions
on how to do this.
SNHU requires both Macs and PCs to have an anti-virus program
installed and up-to-date. Students who reside on campus can be
provided with free anti-virus software from Symantec by going to
webapps.snhu.edu/Symantec.
Do you enjoy sports? You can make
that part of your SNHU experience as
well. SNHU is an NCAA Division II
institution, so if you want to play for an
SNHU team, you must register with the
NCAA Eligibility Center.
See your school counselor or visit
my.snhu.edu/orientation for more information.
If you have questions, please contact
Chad Mason, SNHU Compliance
Coordinator, at 603.645.9783 or

SNHU Student Employment & Work-Study
The SNHU student employment program
is developed to prepare students for “life
after graduation” by providing part-time
employment opportunities that give students
the opportunity to gain valuable work
experience (related to your course of study or
not) and that encourage community service.
Many Federal Work-Study positions are
available on-campus as well as in the greater
Manchester community. If you were offered
federal work-study as part of your financial
aid package, you can apply for a work-study
position. Federal work-study positions are
not guaranteed; you must apply and be hired
for an open position.
The university also has a limited number
of university-paid positions. Any student
regardless of financial need can apply for
a university paid position.
Job postings will begin to be available online
through the SNHU Student Employment
on August 1st. More information (including
what work documents you need before
you can begin to work) about student
employment and work-study is available
online at bit.ly/SNHUwork. (The bit.ly Web
address is case sensitive.)

Penman Cash & Change
Penmen Cash
Penmen Cash is an account into which funds can be deposited and
then accessed with the SNHU ID card when making purchases at
any of our participating locations off campus. The ID card is swiped
through a terminal (in the same manner that a credit card is used), and
the amount of the purchase is deducted from the account balance. This
account cannot be overdrawn because the card holder can spend only
the amount that is in the account. Funds deposited on your Penmen
Cash account will no longer be accepted at the laundry and vending
machines. Penmen Cash can also be used at the dining and snack
bar locations if the meal plan is fully expended for a given semester.
Students will have access to see a list of current participating offcampus locations on mySNHU beginning in June. Funds are added to
Penmen Cash by visiting penmencash.com or by calling 800.345.6126.
Penmen Change
Penmen Change is a separate account on your SNHU ID card that is
used for laundry and vending transactions, as well as at the Hospitality
Restaurant, Caffé E Dolce and the Bookstore (Barnes and Noble College).
Funds can be deposited through one of the “cash-to-card” machines
in front of the bookstore or in the dining center, the One Stop, or by
transferring Penmen Cash funds at the Sodexo Office in the cafeteria.

staff and students to come together
for a range of activities, golf
tournament, music, sporting events,
workshops, and more.
September 11, 2013
Involvement Fair is held in the fall and spring at SNHU. This is a
great opportunity to find a club or organization that interests you,
or a place to volunteer. There will be more than 100 clubs and
organizations, from SNHU and the local community to visit and
learn about. Representatives will be there to answer any questions
you may have about their group. Examples of the clubs and types
of organizations that will be on hand include academic, community
service, intramurals and athletic clubs, Fraternities & Sororities and
media groups.

Parking Decals
All SNHU students are required to purchase a parking decal if
they plan to park on campus. These decals are ordered online at
snhu.thepermitstore.com. In order to order a decal, you will need your SNHU
student ID number. This will need to be entered at the time the decal is
ordered so your student account can be charged accordingly. You will
be billed by SNHU for this charge in the month following the online
order. At the time of purchase, you will also be asked to add vehicle
information and to enter the mailing address for delivery of the parking
decal. You will need this information handy to register for the decal.
Many Faces, New Perspectives, One University
We believe diversity is integral to our university culture. Research has
shown that a diverse population – in terms of background, talent and
perspective – enhances the educational environment for all. The
university’s diversity office, works with students, faculty and staff from
across the university to create a welcoming and supportive campus
environment. Follow us on Twitter to find out what’s happening in the
Diversity office @SNHUDiversity
All students can begin ordering decals for 2013-14 online on Monday,
August 12, 2013. We are not yet sure if there will be a cap placed on
the number of freshmen decals made available for 2013-14.
President’s Commission for LGBTQ Advocacy
The costs for 2013-14 decals will be as follows:
Freshman Resident Day Returning Resident Day
Commuter Day / COCE

Commuter Resources
As a commuter student, we know that you have different needs than
those of our resident students. You’ll be looking for the best parking
spots each day, finding space to relax between classes, or deciding
whether to eat at home or at school. We are here to assist with your
transition to life at SNHU and provide you with a way to connect
with other students and services on campus. The Office of Student
Involvement will be working on a number of commuter programs this
year, so please feel free to contact them to discuss ideas that will make
commuter student life better at SNHU!
