Student User Guide – Access Code Registration Access your Cengage Learning student resources all from one place. Almost everything you need to take your various courses can be found on a single website and accessed using one single sign-­‐on. First Time User Registration To register for access to your textbook resources, go to login.cengagebrain.com. 1.
Choose Create an Account. Already have an account with Cengage Learning, Aplia or iChapters.com? You do not need to create a new account. You can simply log into your existing account to register a new access code. Creating your student account is a three-­‐step process: Step 1: Enter your access code The first step is to enter the access code provided on your access card. 1.
Enter the access code. (An example of an access code is PP8XLP3XD528HC.) 2.
Choose Continue. Step 2: Account Information Next, simply enter your personal account information. As part of this step, you also have the opportunity to sign up to receive information and take advantage of exclusive discounts and promotions on Cengage Learning products and services. Page 1 of 5

Complete the required fields. 2.
Accept the License Agreement. 3.
Indicate your preferences about future product offers. 4.
Choose Continue. Step 3: Select Your Institution Finally choose the region where your institution is located in the Location drop-­‐down list. The options available for selecting your institution will vary by region. If your institution is located in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean/Puerto Rico Africa or the Middle East, you can find your institution based on location. For example, if you select United States: 1.
Select an Institution Type. 2.
Select a radius to search within. 3.
Select a state and then choose a city or enter a zip code. 4.
Choose Search. If your institution is located in Asia, India, Mexico, Central America or South America, you can find your institution based on name. 1.
Enter an Institution Name. 2.
Choose Search. Regardless of which region you have chosen to search, a list of institutions matching your search criteria will display. 3.
Select your institution and choose Continue. Unable to find your institution? If you are unable to find your institution, choose the link to contact Technical Support. Your personal Home Page will automatically display with your newly registered resources. Page 3 of 5
Returning User Sign-­‐in Once you have created your account, you can sign in as a returning user. Go to login.cengagebrain.com. 1.
Under Log In, enter your Username (email address). 2.
Enter your Password. 3.
Choose Log in. My Home My Home provides a single location to access multiple Cengage Learning programs, websites, and online content. Last Accessed Get quick and easy access to your most recently used resources. My Course and Materials Direct access to each of your resources is available with a single click of the Open button. Depending on your textbook and access code, you may have access to a wide variety of additional resources. Register another Access Code Quickly add additional Cengage Learning solutions to your Home page by entering an Access Code, Aplia Course Key, or searching for products with free access. Page 4 of 5
Support Information When looking for help, links to frequently asked questions and contact information is readily available. Suggestions Depending on your personal Home page resources, additional suggestions may be provided to enhance your learning. Updating Your Account Information You may choose to update your account information at any time by selecting the My Account link at the top of the screen. You can update your basic account information as well as your billing and shipping information for future purchases. To update information, simply enter the new information in the appropriate fields and choose Save Changes.
