inner city of Sydney to Gulpilil’s
country of Ramingining.

talents of Indigenous film
makers and actors. Friday
night enjoy a live performance
by Frank Yamma, as we shine
a spotlight on the stellar film
and television career of David
Gulpilil. Saturday, Ursula
Yovich and band will raise
your spirits and rock your
night with a special live music
performance as we explore
the new wave of opportunities
Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people now have in
telling their stories, as they
take control of the creative
process. Audiences will also
take pleasure in an assortment
of screen based work by some
of Australia’s most highly
regarded visual artists.

The intervention is making life
more difficult for Charlie in
his remote community. So
Charlie takes off, to live the
old way, but in so doing sets
off a chain of events in his
life that has him return to his
community chastened, and
somewhat the wiser.
