The Panthers finished their regular season with an 18-12 match record and were 9-3 in the conference. Panthers will open up with Florida State College @ Jacksonville beginning at 10am on Nov. 4. The tournament is scheduled to be broadcast on PSBLive. com. College is a time when many students are trying to not only figure out what career direction they want to take in life, but they are also getting the message that this is when it starts to matter what is on your resume, so networking with professionals and trying to get a job “in field” is important. All Career Center events provide students and graduates the opportunity to interact with (local) working professionals. All events are Free, and advance registration is NOT required. GO PANTHERS!! 4. Get Ready to Register! The class offerings for the upcoming Spring Term are now available for viewing on the Palm Beach State website. From the home page click the “SEARCH FOR CLASSES” link to begin your planning. When can you actually register? If you are a currently enrolled degree or certificate seeking-student, you can register on or after your assigned date and time. To find out when that is, log in to your PantherWeb page, and under the Registration drop down menu (located on the yellow bar at the top of the page), click Dates and Times. Center for Student Leadership(CSL) Palm Beach State College strives to offer top quality leadership development through practical experiences. The mission of the Center for Student Leadership (CSL) at Palm Beach State College is to provide students with the opportunity to engage in a variety of leadership activities that will assist students in developing the skills, knowledge and values necessary to become effective leaders. CSL is committed to training future leaders in effective communication, team building, ethics, professionalism, and conflict resolution. Important Links The Counseling Center is pleased to introduce the Interns that will be assisting our students on the Boca Raton, Lake Worth and Gardens campuses. These interns come to us from F.A.U. and Barry University. They are graduate level social work and mental health students completing their field work placements. As Palm Beach State College’s enrollment has climbed over the last few years, so has its graduation rate. The College awarded a record 2,818 Associate in Arts degrees in the 2009-2010 fiscal year. That’s a more than 25 percent increase over the 2008-2009 year. The number of graduates from all certificate and degree programs combined increased by more than 15 percent during that same timeframe. The College is preparing to celebrate its first group of graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Science degree program in May 2011. The new bachelor’s degree is among several factors attributed to the rise in Palm Beach State College Alert - Emergency Communication System Register now.
