As one of China's most notable
conductors, Tan Lihua has conducted a
range of distinguished orchestras such
as the Russian State Academic
Symphony Orchestra, London
Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra, and Israeli Philharmonic
Orchestra. As a frequent guest
conductor, he has collaborated with
some of the most prestigious orchestras
in Russia, America, Germany, and the
Czech Republic. In 1997, he took part
in the Beijing New Year Concert, now
an integral part of the city's cultural
calendar. In the coming concert, Tan
Lihua and the Beijing Symphony
Orchestra will bring Wuhan music
lovers "Cavalleria rusticana" by
Mascagni, "Queen of Spades" by Franz
von Suppé, "Coppelia" by Delibes,
"Streaming in the Flow" by Fang Kejie,
"Gold and Silver Waltz" by Franz
Lehar, "Pictures at an Exhibition" by
Mussorgsky, and many other famous
pieces.

Dance
The ballet Carmen is set in Seville,
Spain. The story focuses on Carmen,
Don José, and the bullfighter Escamillo.
Carmen is a passionate, free-spirited
woman; she stands in contrast to the
temperamental and fickle Don José.
Fate, a ballerina dressed in black and a
representation of Carmen's alter ego,
tells Carmen's fortune with a deck of
cards. A fight with tobacco dealers leads
to Carmen's arrest by Captain Zúniga. In
jail, she seduces Don José and
convinces him to release her from jail.
Carmen is subsequently caught in a love
triangle between Don José and the
popular bullfighter Escamillo. The setting
includes a mock bullfighting ring which
symbolizes life. Masked spectators and a
uniformed judge represent society's
disapproval of the unconventional
behavior of Carmen and her lovers. Fate
reappears in the final act playing the role
of a bull and brings the three main
characters to meet in the arena. Carmen
dances alternatively with Fate, Escamillo
and Don José until she is stabbed. She
dies caressing Don José's face,
revealing him as the assassin.

Escape Plan
"No one breaks out alone." When a
structural-security authority finds
himself set up and incarcerated in the
world's most secret and secure prison,
he has to use his skills to escape. He also
finds that he needs help from the inside.
Ray Breslin is the world's foremost
authority on structural security. After
analyzing every high security prison and
learning a vast array of survival skills,
he developed the ability to design
escape-proof prisons; his skills are put
to the test. He's framed and incarcerated
in a master prison that he himself
designed. He needs to escape and find
the person who put him behind bars.

Roberta Coni assembles
multiple predicaments
simultaneously in her works. She
tells of her inner self, revealing her
weaknesses and her obsessions. She
declares herself in front of the mirror
without any filter, without any
protection. Her work becomes more
and more intense over time. It all
started with the meticulous research
of the light that progressively reveals
the details, one at a time, and of
learning to control light and shades.

"Bonaparte is the best and craziest live band on earth ever! " said Boyz Noize.
Bonaparte is a Berlin-based electronic rock band headed by Swiss songwriter
Tobias Jundt. Jundt is the only permanent member, but there are also 20 other live
performers. The band is characterized by their expressive and critically acclaimed
live performances. German newspaper Der Tagesspiegel describes the band as "A
multi-ethnic group ruled by the party-Kaiser; it is a trash circus unleashed."

Eons ago, Bor, father of Odin,
vanquished the Dark Elves led by
Malekith, who sought to return the
universe to its state before creation using
a force called the Aether. Fighting off
Malekith's enhanced warriors, the
Kursed, Bor contained the Aether within
a stone column. Unbeknownst to him,
Malekith, his lieutenant Algrim, and
others escaped into suspended animation.
In the present, in Asgard, Loki stands
before Odin in shackles and is sentenced
to prison, while Thor, alongside warriors
Fandral, Volstagg, and Sif repel invaders
from Vanaheim; it is the final battle in a
two-year war. In London, astrophysicist
Jane Foster, who has not seen Thor in a
very long time, attempts a lunch date with
a man named Richard but is interrupted
by her intern Darcy Lewis. She takes
Foster to an abandoned factory where the
laws of physics are upended in certain
places and some children have found that
objects thrown down a stairwell reappear
above them or vanish. Foster also learns
that her colleague Dr. Erik Selvig has
apparently gone mad and has been
detained for attempting to conduct
scientific experiments at Stonehenge
naked. Foster, after bringing her own
scientific equipment to the factory, is
sucked into a vortex where the Aether
enters her.
