Founded in 1985, Paradise Valley Community College, one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges, offers transferable academic courses as well as job-specific occupational training and many additional services to its communities in the north, northeast and northwest valley. Group members are encouraged to enroll in course sections that allow them to attend classes together; have the same instructors with integration of assignments and group projects; and engage in study groups, peer mentoring, and faculty and staff interaction. Participants share collaborative learning, support each other and form lasting relationships.
