E!Pass for Maybank
Terms & Conditions:

E!Pass for Maybank is a stored value gift card issued by Maybank and Cathay. Each E!Pass for Maybank
is worth S$84. Users will be able to redeem 12 complimentary weekday movies with E!Pass for
Maybank; based on $7 per weekday ticket x 12 tickets. Weekday refers to Monday – Thursday,
excluding eve of and on PHs. All other tickets from Friday to Sunday; including eve of Public Holidays
and Public Holidays will be chargeable at prevailing ticket rates.

The S$7 weekday ticket offer is valid only for standard 2D movie tickets.
Offer is not valid for 3D, Hindi, Tamil, special priced tickets, film festival titles, movie marathons,
movies screened at Platinum Movie Suites
Payment must be made via E!Pass for Maybank
Offer is valid only for current day and walk-in bookings (i.e. not valid for online, phone or kiosk
bookings)
Not valid for corporate / group bookings of more than 20 tickets
Not valid with other discounts, promotions and redemptions.

E!Pass for Maybank cardholders can also use their E!Pass for Maybank to purchase any F&B items from
the concession counters.

All E!Pass for Maybank and their values will expire on 30 June 2015.

E!Pass for Maybank cardholders are not entitled to enjoy the benefits attached to the other E!Passes
issued by Cathay, except the following:

Valid for purchase of a combo. Not valid for ala carte purchase.
10% discount on Gourmet popcorn, No minimum purchase required.
E2Max (Cineleisure Orchard Level 9). Enjoy one-for-one PC and video games. Valid any day of the
week including Public Holidays and eve of Public Holidays. Please flash your E!Pass for Maybank to
enjoy this offer. PC games offer is valid with purchase of a $1 soft drink per customer. Video
games offer is valid for sofa seats (open area) only. Not valid with Cambers and DVD rental.
Relationship
The E!Pass for Maybank is issued by Cathay and its Terms and Conditions shall bind every User. Cathay shall only
be liable to the User in respect of the Stored Value without any interest accruing.
Issuance, Validity and Use of E!Pass for Maybank

The E!Pass for Maybank is issued by Cathay subject to these Terms and Conditions. The redemption of the
E!Pass for Maybank or subsequent use thereof by the User shall be deemed to be acceptance by the User
of these Terms and Conditions.

All E!Pass for Maybank are valid for six (6) months to one (1) year from the date of redemption (the
“Validity Period”), with no extension of the Validity Period. After the Validity Period, any remaining
Stored Value will be forfeited and the Privileges will cease.

The E!Pass for Maybank and its Stored Value are not transferable.

The E!Pass for Maybank is not valid with other discounts, promotions and redemptions.

The E!Pass for Maybank is not valid for phone/internet/group/corporate bookings. Group / corporate
bookings are denoted by a purchase of 20 or more tickets in 1 transaction.

The E!Pass for Maybank is not valid for the purchase of gift vouchers.

The E!Pass for Maybank and its Stored Value are not exchangeable for cash in part or full.
E!Pass for Maybank Transactions and Stored Value

The E!Pass for Maybank , which must be presented at the Box Office, shall be used as a means of payment
for movie tickets and Cinesnax items at the Cinemas. During such payment, the Stored Valued in the
E!Pass for Maybank shall be reduced by the payment amount.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid, Cathay may reject the use of the E!Pass for Maybank for effecting payment
or for the entitlement of Privileges if:
o the E!Pass for Maybank is reasonably suspected to have been fraudulently issued, stolen or
tampered with; or
o there is any breakdown in the E!Pass for Maybank Payment System or part thereof which disables
Cathay from accepting or processing the E!Pass for Maybank as a means of effecting payment or
transaction.
and Cathay shall not be liable for any loss suffered, if any, by the User as a result thereof unless such loss
is the direct consequence of the negligent or wilful default of any of Cathay’s employees, in which event,
the maximum liability of Cathay, shall not exceed the aggregate sum of Singapore Dollars Fifty Only (S$50)
in respect of any one event or connected events regardless of the number of occurrences.

Cathay shall not be liable for any defects in the products or services purchased on its premises or for any
other disputes concerning the said products or services.
Care and Use of the E!Pass for Maybank; Loss or Theft of the E!Pass for Maybank
The User shall:
 exercise all due care and diligence in the custody, care and use of the E!Pass for Maybank;
 not tamper or allow anyone to tamper with the E!Pass for Maybank;
 not permit the E!Pass for Maybank to be used in any unauthorized manner;
 not intentionally deface or damage the E!Pass for Maybank;
 not affix, print or attach anything or matter onto the E!Pass for Maybank or otherwise alter, remove or
replace any notice, logo, or design on the E!Pass for Maybank;
 not use or attempt to use the E!Pass for Maybank through any electronic terminal other than Cathay’s
electronic terminal.
If the E!Pass for Maybank is wilfully damaged, lost or stolen or if the User is in breach of above clauses hereof,
Cathay shall be entitled to deduct the Stored Value.
Return and Retention of the E!Pass for Maybank



The E!Pass for Maybank remains the property of Cathay and shall be promptly returned to Cathay when
the Stored Value is nil ($0). User shall no longer be entitled to the Privileges upon return of E!Pass for
Maybank.
In the event of insufficient value in the Stored Value to purchase a movie ticket at the Cinema, the User
may use cash to make up the difference to purchase the movie ticket or buy any other concession item.
Cathay shall be entitled without assigning any reason to retain at any Box Office any E!Pass for Maybank
which is reasonably suspected to have been fraudulently issued, stolen or tampered with.
No Refund or Replacement

At no time, during or after the Validity Period, will Cathay refund the Stored Value of the E!Pass for
Maybank or any part thereof.

A E!Pass for Maybank that is damaged, lost or stolen cannot be replaced nor will the User be entitled to
any refund of the Stored Value.
Determination of Value
 For the purpose of determining the Stored Value of the E!Pass for Maybank , the value as determined by
any Box Office from either the value recorded in the E!Pass for Maybank or Cathay’s central records shall,
save for manifest error, be deemed conclusive and binding.
 User may request for a transaction history report from Cathay at an administrative fee of $10 which may
be collected in 7 working days’ time at the Box Office of User’s choice.
Disclaimers
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, Cathay, its respective officers, employees,
contractors and/or agents shall not be liable in any way to the User for any losses (including any indirect, special
or consequential losses), damages, expenses, claims, liabilities and costs (including cost on a solicitor and client
basis) that the User may incur or suffer in connection with or arising from:







the issue or use of the E!Pass for Maybank;
any delay, suspension, discontinuance or failure in the issuance of the E!Pass for Maybank;
any period when the processing of the use of the E!Pass for Maybank for payment is unavailable due to any
disruption, defect damage, breakdown in or failure (collectively “malfunction”) of the E!Pass for
Maybank, the Payment System (including any data processing system, the network system or its associated
equipment) whether or not due to anything beyond the control of any party or of their respective officers,
employees, contractors or agents;
any delay or any inability to use the E!Pass for Maybank for any reason whatsoever, including the
unavailability due to the malfunction of the E!Pass for Maybank Payment System or damage to or defect in
the E!Pass for Maybank;
the E!Pass for Maybank being rejected by any Box Office for whatever reason;
any inability to retrieve any data or information on the E!Pass for Maybank; and/or
any delay or inability to perform any of its obligations due directly or indirectly to the malfunction of any
machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, or anything outside the control of
any party or of their respective officers, employees, contractors or agents; provide that the same is not
caused by the gross negligence or wilful default of Cathay or any of its respective officers.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the maximum liability of Cathay to the User under
these Terms and Conditions and at law shall not exceed in aggregate the sum of Singapore Dollars Fifty (S$50) only
per E!Pass for Maybank.
Variation
 In redeeming the E!Pass for Maybank, the User is deemed to have consented to Cathay’s Terms and
Conditions and any variations that Cathay may from time to time implement.
 Cathay reserves the right to add to, delete from, vary or otherwise amend all or any of these Terms and
Conditions at any time without prior notice on Maybank’s website. The User’s continued use of the E!Pass
for Maybank after the date of such notification shall be deemed to be the User’s acceptance of such
revised Terms and Conditions.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of
Singapore. Each of the parties mentioned herein hereby irrevocably and unconditionally submits to the nonexclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore.
Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (CAP. 53B)
A Person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third
Parties) Act (Cap.53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
Trademarks
The Cathay logo is a registered trademark of Cathay Organisation Holdings Ltd.
