October Mystery Book Report Mystery Story: Your chapter book must be in the Mystery Genre. A mystery is a suspenseful story with a puzzling event. The mystery is not solved until the end of the story. Project: Create a board game! Directions: 1) Design a game board that tells about the book you have read. You may use a file folder, or other poster-type paper to create the game. (Keep in mind that these are to be stored in the classroom, so it is best if the game board is flat and/or can be folded in half.) 2) Your game board should reflect the main characters, setting, and show the major events of your story in proper sequence. It should have interesting illustrations. 3) Create a spinner or task cards, and game pieces for your game board. 4) Write the book’s title, author’s name, illustrator’s name (if there is an illustrator) and your name on the front of the game board. 5) Attach a one-paragraph summary telling about your book on the back of your game board. 6) Write clear directions for how to play the game and attach it to the back of your game board. 7) Be prepared to explain and play your game in class. Be creative and have fun!
