CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Who are we?
Mason County Chamber of Commerce
is an organization made up of
community volunteers who invest their
time in the development of Mason and
Mason County – working together to
improve the economic, civic and
cultural well-being of the area.
Chamber membership is open to
any individual who is interested in
helping to develop Mason and Mason
County for the good of all citizens.
The Chamber of Commerce is
financed by memberships, fundraising
events such as the Wild Game Dinner
and the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax,
which is collected from visitors to
Mason, Texas.
What do we do?
The Chamber of Commerce is a service
organization that supports the activities
of its member businesses, encourages
the growth of new businesses, assists
new residents with information about
the area, promotes tourism to Mason
County and participates in community
projects such as beautification projects
as well as the annual Round-up Rodeo
Event.
Why should you join the
Chamber of Commerce?
To show your support for the
businesses and people in your
community.
To promote your own business or
service to visitors and residents
through brochures and handouts
distributed by the Chamber, your
listing on the Chamber’s website, and
your participation in Chamber events.
To provide active input for the
promotion of Mason and Mason
County to others.
To be involved in the planning of
Mason’s growth and future.
To demonstrate your support for the
economic, cultural and social wellbeing of your community.
How does membership work?
Chamber of Commerce memberships
are annual memberships, beginning on
January 1st and expiring on December
31st.
New members who join the Chamber on
June 1st and after will have their
membership fee prorated for the
remaining months of the year in which
they join.
What are the levels of
Chamber membership?
First Business - $100
 Full voting rights in all Chamber
elections
 Listing of business with description
of products/services on chamber
brochures/handouts
 Listing of business with description
of products/services on web site
with website link
 Business display of business cards or
stock cards located in Chamber
 Referrals from Chamber staff
 Hunting lease listings on website
and Chamber handouts
Multi-Businesses - $50
 Must have a First Business
registered under the same
member/owner with the Chamber
of Commerce. Multi-Business
Memberships receive the same
benefits as a First Business
membership.
Personal Booster Membership - $25
 Full membership with exception of
web page listing, business listing or
hunting lease listing.
Membership Plaques
New business members are given a
Chamber of Commerce plaque to place in
their business, identifying them as a
Chamber member. Each year when
membership is renewed, a new date
stamped tag will be mailed to each member.
