STEP 4 WORKSHEET – ENVISION “Vision is the art of seeing the invisible” Jonathan Swift Allow yourself to be the author of your life. Dream yourself and your unfolding life into existence. You plot the course and allow the miracles of life to bring it to be. Our job is to ask for what we desire and then let go and trust that if we look for it, it will come to be. Here are some activities to get your ideas flowing. Vision Board Collage Make a vision board. Put on some music you love. Take out some old magazines, greeting cards, postcards, picture books and go through and cut out images that you love to look at and images that show something you wish for your life. After you have gathered lots of images stick them on a large piece of construction paper. Hang this board in a place where you can feast your eyes and be inspired. This could take an hour or an afternoon...or somewhere more or less. What is will do is awaken the dreamer and the visionary within you. Writing your Life into Being: Below are some questions and writing exercises. They are invitations to think about the vision of your life. Write them all or choose one that inspires you. Write as much as you like. Explore your ideas about your life. Enjoy. And of course, keep breathing! If you could script the unfoldings of your life what would happen in your life? Write down anything that you would love to experience in your life, including all the things you may feel are impossible. If you could follow the path of the things you love to do and experience, where could it lead you? If you looked back on your life when you are 150, and you felt your life was a success, how would the story go from where you are now to where you will be at 150. Write the eulogy for your own life in the third person, as if someone else was reflecting on your life. What would you want people to remember about how you were and what you did in your life? From the “Step 2 Worksheet – Take Stock” where you clarified where you are now, to the most exciting ideas and visions for your life...script a path that connects the two. If you could boil it down to a couple of sentences, what is your vision statement. What are you living for?
