where she is responsible for ensuring business products and solutions comply with privacy laws,
regulations and best practices. She works closely with legal, marketing and IT to ensure that consumer
privacy expectations are met while providing safe, reliable and convenient money transfer services

Prior to joining Western Union, Sarah worked at several global organizations focusing on various aspects

privacy and data protection and engaged extensively with policy makers from around the world. She
also served as Privacy Officer for Epsilon, a global data marketing firm. As Privacy Officer, Sarah was
responsible for providing guidance to the business when privacy impacting changes to legislation and
regulation occurred. She also worked closely with product teams during the development cycle to work

Sarah holds both a JD and MBA, and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
Elizabeth Lamb Kearney practices plaintiff’s side employment law from her office in greater downtown
Berthoud, which has much better parking than 17th street in Denver. She received her JD from the
University of Denver long ago and fondly remembers dictating correspondence and pleadings and can’t
remember if she had a computer on her desk at her first lawyer job. She has mixed emotions about the
pervasive presence of technology in the workplace, but is often delighted to read electronic mail from
supervisors of her clients which in prior times would have been conveniently vanquished from their
memories.
Jon Olafson is a life-long resident of the fly-over states. He hails from Minnesota, received a bachelor’s
degree from the University of North Dakota, and obtained his JD from Texas Tech University. The call of
the mountains and the fantastic Colorado lifestyle was too appealing and in 2011 Jon moved to Denver.
Jon currently works for ALG Attorneys in Denver, Colorado, practicing in commercial litigation,
employer-side employment law, aviation employment, and government contracting. He is a regular
speaker on employment-related topics for the CBA and other national organizations. Jon has been
recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in Colorado for both 2014 and 2015. When not
practicing law, Jon fills his time with his duties as President of the Board of the Denver Philharmonic
Orchestra, finding a new peak to summit, watching Texas Tech and University of North Dakota athletics
(WRECK ‘EM TECH!!) and/or trying a new red wine (or scotch or bourbon).
