As a new analyst, assumed responsibility for managing all Region AFEs. This took a major
administrative burden off the experienced Land Analysts so they could concentrate more
fully on their analytical duties.
As the Region grew, it became necessary to develop a procedure for handling AFEs.
Proceeded to outline steps required to get an AFE from its initial work-up by the drilling or
production departments, out to partners and through its final distribution to corporate land
administration and accounting departments. The resulting online document became a
valuable tool for co-workers and new hires.
As Administrative Land Analyst, prepared EPMs including NRI and ORRI (when applicable)
calculations for all new offshore wells. Learning this skill relieved Senior Land Analyst and
Landmen of such responsibility.
