I was on work trial and during that period, I was involved in

contracts as well standard residential contracts. I also have had the
opportunity to view contracts for commercial leases and assisted
clients by summarising their contracts into simplified form so they
could understand the main gist of the contract. During this work
trial, I also learned from my supervisor the procedures involved in
buying and selling residential and commercial properties.

My role as a GDLP student was to provide assistance to the
principal solicitor in both an administrative and legal support
capacity. I assisted the principal solicitor at drafting legal
correspondence to clients, organizations and other solicitors. I was
also actively involved in doing legal research. Part of my role was
shadowing court hearings with the principal solicitor and taking

notes during the court hearing. I also had the opportunity to sit in
client interview session and taking notes.
