ST MATTHEW’S GOSPEL- ‘The King and His Kingdom’
Session 1. The history of Christ is brought to life through Matthew’s
Gospel. 7.00-9.15pm in the parish hall. Refreshments available.
Saturday 5th December
ADVENT RETREAT FOR THE YEAR OF MERCY-“Opening Wide the
Doors” Full day RETREAT for this Holy Season of Advent, led by Fr Ivano
Millico. Talks, Silent Reflection, Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Divine
Office, Sacrament of Confession. £12.00 including Hot Lunch, 10.15am 4.30pm. Flyers in both porches for more information and registration.

ADVENT SERVICE, ACTIVITIES AND CAROLS
The Special Needs Group at Ealing Abbey cordially invites everyone to
celebrate. 1.45-4.00pm beginning with activities in the coffee lounge,
followed by the service with carols. Refreshments served afterwards.
Wednesday 9th December
‘THE PROMISE OF HIS LIGHT’- A Quiet Afternoon for Advent led
by Fr. Robin. Reflections on the Advent Hope and time for
personal prayer. Maurice fowler Hall, 2.00-5.00pm.

VIRTUS LECTURE
7.00pm, the Abbey. This month’s Virtus Lecture will be given by

10.00am-11.00am. Time for prayer and reflection in the Abbey.

Monastic spirituality forum: 12.30pm in the Maurice Fowler hall. Shared
lunch followed by the Office of Sext and a talk on Evagrius of Pontus by Dr.
Monica Tobon. 3.00pm, time for lectio divina and tea. For those who
wish, Vespers at 5.30pm.

Music and readings for the Christmas season performed by Ealing Abbey
Choir & Orchestra (conducted by Christopher Eastwood), at 7.30pm in the
Abbey. Tickets are £12 (adults) and £10 (concessions) and may be
