Board of Education at the next official meeting.
Approved the new Middle School Science Curriculum and Chinese Pilot Program for the 2010-2011 school
year .

Ratified the placement of one 15-year old Southern Jr. High school female on 5/5/10, and one 15-year old
Central Jr. High school male on 5/10/10 into the Wilson/Governor Mifflin Alternative Education Program.
Approved James Surgeoner as Truant Officer and School Resource Officer for the 2010-2011 school year.
Approved the Resolution approving and adopting student discipline Waiver and Consent Agreement dated May
6, 2010.
Ratified placement of one 17-year old High School male on 5/10/10 into the Alsace Alternative Education
Program.
Granted permission to contract with NHS Autism School to provide Extended School Year services for one (1)
special education student at a cost of $2,136.28 per student beginning June 28, 2010, ending July 29, 2010 (23
days).
Approved the proposed final budget for 2010-2011 in the amount of $83,127,400 at the rate
of 21.95 mills, as per the resolution to the permanent minutes.
Approved submittal of the PlanCon Part H documents to PDE for the Green Valley Middle School project as
a result of the 2010 bond issue.
Granted permission to advertise bus bids for the 2010-11 school year.
Approved the supply bids for the 2010-2011 school year.

Enrollment Update - As of May 11 2010, the total district enrollment is 5,772 students. This represents a
decrease 24 students from last month. (Per Pupil Services, we are no longer including the Berks Academy
students in our enrollment figure which represents 14 of the 24.
