Instructions: The Pre-Application for Phase 1 Mini-Grants consists of a 3-minute
video application and this completed pre-application form. After uploading
your video to YouTube or send the video via WhatsApp at the following number
00962779977663, please submit this form via email to CISRFA@gmail.com. Both
must be submitted by the Phase 1 competition deadline of December 21, 2014
by 4:00 pm.

How to upload and submit a video to USAID Civic Initiatives Support program
First Option: Upload your video on YouTube
To submit your video via YouTube, you need to create new Gmail account and share your username
and password to the given address. Please follow below instructions:
Create a GMAIL Account

Go to www.google.com
Press on GMAIL
Set up a new account
Fill in all required information including the name, family name and the username in English for
example ahmadsaleh2019@gmail.com. To create a Gmail username no symbols are allowed only
characters and numbers
5. Password must contain at least 8 characters
6. Fill in your date of birth, your phone number and alternative email account
7. Type the letters and numbers at the verification box
8. Click on “I agree to the Google terms of services and Privacy policy”, press on Next Step
9. Choose image for your account or you can leave it without a picture and click on the Next Step
10. You now have completed the work of the GMAIL account in Arabic
Upload video on YouTube
1. Sign into YouTube using your GMAIL email login
2. Click the Upload button at the top of the page.

3. Before you start uploading the video you can chose the video privacy settings.
4. Select the video you'd like to upload from your computer. You can also record a video from your
webcam, create a video slideshow or import a video from Google+.
5. As the video is uploading you can edit both the basic information and the advanced settings of
the video, and decide if you want to notify subscribers (if you untick this option no
communication will be shared with your subscribers).
6. Set the video privacy setting to Private then just click Done to finish the upload or click Share to
privately share your video.
7. If you haven’t clicked Publish, your video won’t be viewable by other people. You can always
publish your video at a later time in your Video Manager.
Once the upload is completed YouTube will send you an email to notify you that your video is
done uploading and processing.
Second Option: Via WhatsApp
To submit the video via WhatsApp application from your smart phone to 00962779977663
Send video via WhatsApp application!
1. Add the special program number (00962779977663) to your mobile list of contact
2. Use the WhatsApp application in your smartphone
3. Create a new message
4. Select the program number
5. Upload the video to be sent
6. Press the Send button
7. To ensure proper transmit, please make sure that you are connected to the internet.
