Standard Bundles V 1.2 Standardized Bundles Informational Guide Confidential Page 1 of 5 3/8/2016 Definitions “Bundle” – Service offering for a customer with more than one primary service unit that has product specific defined service levels. “Bundle Service Code” - Standard service code set with a $0.00 rate. Service code will have product requirements that must be on the account for bundle service code to be applied. “Bundle campaign code” – A campaign code that points to and directly discounts a Bundle Service Code. A Bundle campaign code provides a negative dollar amount for a temporary period. “Bundle Benefits” – Additional benefits provided to customers for adding and maintaining the components of a standard bundle. Bundle Benefits are usually cash credits or product upgrades. The standard code for bundle benefits is BUNBEN. “Bundle Benefits campaign code” – A campaign code pointed to and directly discounting the service code BUNBEN. “Flagship Bundles” – 3-product bundles that are available on a mass market basis. Flagship bundles have a standard bundle service code which are set with a $0.00 rate. “Targeted Bundles” – Bundles that may or may not always be available for customers. Although targeted bundles have minimum service requirements, it is expected that systems may use campaigns pointed to targeted bundle codes or product codes to increase components for certain segments. The locked rate only applies to those minimum service codes required to build that bundle (listed in the tables above in 2.1 and 2.4) and does not cover any additional products or services the customer adds to their bundle. The discounting associated with the bundle campaign codes should discount the applicable zerorated bundle service code. Bundle Benefit Bundle Benefit Code Set-up and Code Requirements: The Bundle Benefit service code is BUNBEN. BUNBEN should be set-up to require one of the 3-product Flagship Bundles (BUNBRNZ, BUNBRON, BUNSILV, BUNGOLD, or BUNPLAT). Bundle benefits should be set so that OCF increases with customer the value of the bundle benefit increases (either monetary or perceived value). Bundle Benefit Portfolio Annual bill credit: A bill credit after the completion of one year of service (applied on 13 month). For higher bundles (Gold and Platinum), in addition to month 13, the bill credit can also be applied on month 24 – for a total of two bill credits. Due to the potential retention value of a bill credit, this is the preferred bundle benefit. 3 Bill Presentation Bundle Code – If the bundle campaign code is properly discounting the bundle service code, the discount will show up at the top of the monthly statement. Improved formatting includes: •Bundle nomenclature (branding) on bill •“Bundle Savings” section added •Discounts more prominent & a la carte rates more transparent to customer. Ability for customer to “back into” service charges to determine actual bundle rate. Bundle service codes have minimum product requirements. As long as the customer still has the minimum product level, the bundle service code will maintain. If the customer drops below the minimum service level, the rep will receive an error message that requires removing the bundle service code before completing a downgrade order. Any campaign discount pointed to the bundle service code will also cease. What if a customer wants to change their Bundle Benefit? Customers cannot change their bundle benefit while in the same bundle. Can a customer change the selection in their bundle benefit? No. . Can a customer change bundle benefit(s) mid-campaign (bundle benefit period), but keep their bundle the same? No. Once a customer commits to a bundle benefit they must keep that same bundle benefit for the duration of the offer. If a customer changes bundles, they would be able to select a new benefit, but their bundle benefit period would also restart. When a customer selects the EOY bill credit – who/how are these processed? The EOY bill credit will automatically be included on the bill in the 13th and 24th month of service via the bundle benefit service code (BunBen). 4 What happens when a customer rolls off of their bundle? The customer’s core PSUs will roll to retail rates. Plans are currently underway to handle roll off. Can we combine 1P offers with the new bundles? Varies by market What is the installation policy? Standard installation policy applies. Input system specific install policy here. What happens to a customer’s bundle if they go into non-pay? At time of reconnect? Account will be suspended. If customer reconnects, must pay outstanding balance and select new plan. Can we still sell the original bundles? No. Any current bundle codes will be grandfathered to use the new codes which drive additional value. 5
