Shooting Form • Stand square to basket. • Fingers should be on seams of ball. • Cradle ball with fingers of shooting hand on seams. • Hold side of ball with off hand, at shoulder height on your strong side. • Bend elbow so that shooting arm forms an L. • Push up with arms and legs and release ball with snap of wrist. • Follow through Lay Up • Start about 10 feet from the basket, on the right side, at a 45-degree angle to the hoop. • Step forward with left foot and dribble with right hand. • Step with right foot and pick ball up off the dribble. • Step again with left foot and put right hand behind ball with fingers up. • Jump off left foot, drive right knee up and shoot ball Shooter and Rebounding -2 lines off window (backboard) and in.
