JOB DESCRIPTION POST: Events and Outreach Coordinator RESPONSIBLE TO: Regional Manager Salary: £18,000, plus 5% pension contribution Overview: Yorkshire Energy Services are an international award winning community interest company who have established a southern regional office based in Andover. It is from this office the company is delivering the exciting, Insulate Hampshire area based initiative on behalf of Hampshire County Council and 11 of the County’s District Councils. Job Purpose: As an Events and Outreach Coordinator you will take the lead in delivering effective and informative front line assessments and advice on the Insulate Hampshire scheme through events, community networks and business engagement. As part of the project team you will promote the project, energy efficiency and microgeneration to householders in a wide variety of settings. As a first point of contact with the public you must have an open personality and positive attitude. The role includes arranging and delivering effective, informative advice to specifically targeted organizations, community groups and households within both the private and commercial settings. General Responsibilities: Arrange and attend events, seminars, discussions and presentations. Building community and commercial links and creating into successful partnerships to effectively promote the project. To ensure that all Insulate Hampshire promotional activity is provided in accordance with the standards of the company, the project and its partners. Work flexibly and independently to deliver events and activities in various locations throughout the Hampshire region which will include early morning starts, late finishes and weekend working where appropriate. Working with the Regional Manager and project partners to expand the awareness of the project and increase householder uptake. Manage the logistics and stock for events activities. Deliver accurate and appropriate assessments and advice on energy efficiency and renewable energy to householders at events and where necessary in their homes. Handling and responding to customer and project partner enquiries through telephone calls, written correspondence and face-to-face contact. Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of sustainable energy matters and keeping the relevant information, literature and documentation available for review. To ensure that the performance targets set for the project and team are met. To provide support to the development and growth of the company’s southern regional office as appropriate. Miscellaneous: To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the postholder’s line manager from time to time, in consultation with the postholder.
