For limitations, procedures and performance information not contained in this

SECTION 1: GENERAL
1.1 This supplement shall apply when the Flightcell DZM is installed in the
aircraft. The DZM equipment may consist of all or some of the following
equipment;
1.2 Minimum Equipment
1.2.1 DZM – located in the aircraft cockpit / flight deck
1.2.2 Cradle – may be located anywhere IAW the approved design
1.2.3 Antenna – to be mounted on the aircraft upper surface with clear view of
the sky IAW the approved design
1.3 Optional Equipment
1.3.1 Handset
1.3.2 Cellular Modem
1.3.3 Etc
SECTION 2: LIMITATIONS
2.1 No Change.
SECTION 3: EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
3.1 In the event of an emergency associated with Flightcell DZM, isolate
equipment from the aircraft power via the System Circuit Breaker.
SECTION 4: NORMAL PROCEDURES
4.1 For instructions in addition to below refer to Flightcell DZM Operating
Manual, Issue 12, Firmware v1.77 which is to be carried at any time the
system is installed.
4.2 The Motorola 9505A Satellite phone may be removed from the cradle
and the aircraft flown. The DZM dial pad / controller in the cockpit must
be placarded to reflect that the ‘SATPHONE SYSTEM INOP’.
4.3 NOTE: The phone number is connected to the Motorola 9505A handset
and not the aircraft. Should the handset be exchanged the number to
connect to the aircraft will change with it.
