UBC is looking for the most accomplished and promising Canadian
secondary students to join their community. The Major Entrance
Scholarship (MES) program offers the most prestigious awards
available to entering students at UBC, including one-time awards of at
least $5,000 and renewable awards of up to $40,000 payable over
four years.
Entrance awards (EA) assist students in making the transition from
secondary school to university. The purpose of this program is to
financially support academically qualified students who show an
interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community, but who
would not otherwise be able to attend without significant financial
assistance. This program offers entering students renewable awards
up to $40,000, payable over four years.
To encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals
for individuals who have demonstrated a high level of academic, made
a positive contribution to their school through extracurricular
activities and have made significant contributions of time and energy
to community service programs.
The CHHA/CHHAF Scholarship was established to offer to offer
financial assistance and recognition to hard of hearing and deafened
students registered in a full time program at a recognized college or
university, in any area of study, with the ultimate goal of obtaining a
diploma or degree.
Recognizes a student graduating from a BC secondary school who has
come to Canada as a refugee and who has shown courage and
determination while adapting to a new language and culture in
Canada. The student must use the award for post-secondary
