UBC is looking for the most accomplished and promising Canadian
secondary school and CEGEP students to join their community. The
Major Entrance Scholarship (MES) program offers the most
prestigious awards available to entering students at UBC, including
one-time awards of at approximately $5,000 and renewable awards of
up to $40,000 payable over four years. These scholarships recognize
students who excel across the board and who have demonstrated
academic and leadership achievements in the arts, community,
athletics, and school. Applications are now open for the 2013-14
academic year online only. Nominations are no longer required.
Students in grades 10, 11 and 12 across Canada, the contest will
award a total of $222,000 in scholarships, giving its winner the chance
to pursue their postsecondary studies partially or completely in
French.

Must be under 21 years of age, entering your first year of postsecondary in the upcoming fall, meet the TCI height requirement
minimums (5’10” for women and 6’2” for men).
Considers candidates who are currently in their graduating year from
a Canadian high school, are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident
(landed immigrant) or have refugee status. Have demonstrated
outstanding environmental commitment, community service and
leadership during the course of their studies.
Applicants must be children or grandchildren of employees of the
Lifetouch family of businesses who have completed 2 years of
continuous service as a Lifetouch employee as of June 30, 2012, and

Recognizes the exceptional, academic, community, artistic and

The Pete Ketcham Memorial Scholarship Fund was initiated by West
Fraser and many of its employees, suppliers. Open to any student,
preference may be given first to students graduating from a school
located in a community in which the company operates and secondly,
to students who have a relative employed by the Company.
Student must be a current senior in high school or be a freshman or
sophomore in college or university (ages 16-21); and must be enrolled
or expected to be enrolled by the Fall of 2014.

resident of Canada diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
seeking an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree from a

university in the fall. The successful student is expected to direct the
award towards tuition for studies in physics.
To provide financial assistance to a student in need, who wish to

candidates will be registered with Muscular Dystrophy Canada and
reside in BC or Yukon.
For youth with neuromuscular disorders who want to pursue higher

hairdressing program from a registered or accredited school as

and the McGann family have established this award. Designed for
those studying or planning to study Communications who
demonstrate a commitment to the issues and actions affecting
working people.
This deadline is for those applicants entering their BCIT program
December 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. Entrance Awards recognize
academic and non-academic achievements of students entering a fulltime BCIT program. The deadline for BCIT Entrance Awards is August
5 and January 6 of each year.
Applicant must have a spinal cord injury (verified in writing by a
physician or other health care professional and attending, or will be
attending, a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.
Must be Roman Catholic residents of the Lower Mainland and have a
3.0 (B) GP or higher. Applicants are to have the strength of Christian
character, as well as community services rendered within the
candidate’s own community and school. Involvement in athletic
