3-minute Macbeth
You and one other person (if you wish) must take the text of Macbeth and its original
running time of over an hour and a half and condense it into no more than 3 minutes.
You may use the original lines or modify them to fit into modern English… it doesn’t
matter which one; they will both receive the same amount of credit. You must, however,
include the following events in this shortened “play”:
1. The witches prophecy to Macbeth in some form
2. Lady Macbeth and her manipulation of Macbeth
3. The death of Duncan
4. Banquo’s murder by Macbeth
5. The witches play with words
6. Lady Macbeth and her death
7. The death of Macbeth
You do not need to act it or anything of that nature, just write a script that shows an
understanding of what was and was not important within the story. Submit it to my
website by the end of the day Monday, December 5.
