The role and responsibilities of private and public officials in the
development of emergency plans to reduce the human and material losses
in time of an emergency.
To design a comprehensive model of an all hazard emergency
management plan (EMP) that clearly defines functions, duties, tasks in an
organization that facilitates a broader range of response and management
options
The graduate student shall be able to:
A.
Identify the hazards and appraise the risks that underline the
operational issues and response capabilities that facilitate a broader
range of management options.
B.
Diagram emergency management/response organization (EMRO)
capable of effectively responding and managing and incident.
C.
Describe an incident assessment (classification) system so that
prompt protective actions notifications can begin.
D.
Design and apply the basic incident command system components
(command, planning, operations, logistics, finance, and
administration) to a business or industrial environment.
E. Multi-discipline planning team will design a written all-hazards
emergency management plan (EMP) that contains the necessary
components to define the organization structure, functions and
time for emergency management organizations frame.
The safety and health professional will be responsible for the multi
disciplinary emergency planning teams that are assigned primary
accountability for coordination of planning goals and objective.
The individual assignment will require program development,
implementation and validation.
