Form and install sheet metal sill pan in accordance with manufacturer’s
recommendations.

Prepare doors and assemble components for installation in accordance with
manufacturer’s recommendations.

INSTALLATION
A.
Insert jamb into rough opening, inspect for good fit, mark location of sill and
remove unit.
B.
Insert sidelight into jamb.

Prepare door and jamb for installation.

Apply flashing support to backside of sides and head of brickmold.
Apply flashing to corners, backside of frame and brickmold in
accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
Install jamb over caulk at marked sill location. Check sill for level.
Install jamb assembly.

Inspect for good fit then remove.
Weatherproof
sidelights
in
accordance
with
manufacturer’s
recommendations.
Insert sidelights back into jamb and tighten jamb to sidelight.
Anchor jamb leg to sidelight through back of rabbeted portion of jamb.
Anchor hinge side mull post to sidelight through hinge.
Anchor strike side mull post to sidelight under lock location.
Anchor top of mull post to sidelight through rabbeted face of jamb.
Anchor bottom of mull post to sidelight through rabbeted portion of mull
post.
Shim jambs straight. Inspect jamb for square, level and plumb.
Fasten jamb to studs.
Structurally secure sill.
Apply sealant to interior side of jamb between outside of jamb and stud
to seal gaps.
Install hardware.
Install interior and exterior trim.
Set all nails below surface and fill holes with wood matched putty stick.
Install weatherstrip wedges.
Install transom.

Apply caulk on top of door head jamb.
Set transom jamb on door head jamb and fasten.
Shim transom straight. Inspect transom for square, level and plumb.
Fasten transom to studs.
Insert transom sash. Inspect for good fit then remove.
Apply caulk along inside corner of transom jamb.
Install transom sash and secure to jamb.
Install interior and exterior trim.
Set all nails below surface and fill holes with wood matched putty stick.
