(Note: the blue color fonts are the mail sent to the institute and the red color fonts are the reply from them) Mail - I Honorable Sir, Is there any of the following benefit / facility available for the PE-II students? otherwise please consider the following suggestions: (Students joined on basis of degree and not cleared one or none of the groups) 1. Options for transferring to PCC? 2. Transition scheme to IPCC for the PE-II students? 3. Considering the work experience (in a CA firm) during PE-II in reducing the articles period of PCC / IPCC? 4. Else if it only to be shifted to IPCC - concession in the fees and the articles period? 5. Eligibility to appear in the Nov-09 exams if shifted to PCC / IPCC. Also kindly consider the following: - There is no trouble for people entering the CA course, but it is for the existing students. - The dreams of thousands of students coming true is based on your decision only. -Your decision has power to retain thousands of students (pursing PE-II & PCC) in the course as well to get out of it. Reply-I Dear Student, Watch regularly for any updation/ announcement on our web site. Mail – II Honorable President, Before going to the subject I would to like to give you and ICAI BOS a heartily thanks for extending the PE 2 attempts and replying for my previous mail. Thanks a lot…. As you know very well that there are 3 different schemes currently running for the same level of study. i.e… PE-2 PCC & IPCC If we see the articles portion of the above 3, it is clear that PCC students & IPCC students are enjoying the benefits of early articles period beginning either at the registration or on completing 1st group. Whereas, for the PE-2 Students unless and until they complete both the groups they cannot apply for articles. More over the options for existing PE-2 students to shift over to PCC / IPCC is also not kept open. (No intimation/announcement on this is made yet) On estimating of, by by comparing the students who have not completed both or either of the groups in PE-2 till May-2010, with that of the students of Intermediate, PCC & IPCC…, PE-2 students’ tenure for appearing for the final exams becomes the longest period due to the articles. Hence it is quite clear that a kind of unfavourism is thrown on the PE- 2 students with respect to articles training commencement. WHY? A) If all students are equal, then why the PE-2 students are differentiated from the other scheme students likes PCC & IPCC in the case of commencement of articles? B) When our ICAI can frame different different schemes often for the same level of study, can’t it make changes for/in the existing one also? So that only changes in the syllabus is made, not in the articles period / commencement!! Certain Suggestions: 1) Provisions shall be made for commencing articles for students pursuing PE-2 (even both the groups are not cleared). Even if both or either of the groups is not cleared till MAY-2010, their articles can continue but to take up the exams under PCC or IPCC after MAY-2010 attempt. OR 2) Considering the work experience in a CA firm for reduction in the period of articles whether both or either of the groups of PE-2 is completed or not completed. IF NOT 3) Option for shifting over, any time, to PCC or IPCC shall be kept open, so that atleast the articles training will get started in case of PCC or after completing 1st groups in case of IPCC. Once again i would like to remind you that the efforts, pains, dreams & belief undergone so long by many PE-2 students, their parents and family members becoming true or going in to vein is dependent on your decision only. Hoping a favorable decision. Please Note some of my questions in the previous mail are still pending response. Reply II Dear Student, Pleas go through the below given announcement: BOS/Announcement/227/09 August 10, 2009 Mail-III Respected Sir, Thanks for the effort taken in addressing the mail to authorities(Dated 20th August-09) But the reply i got from the respective authorities was not related to the subject matter at all, which i think your good self is aware of, as you are also marked CC. Pls note that I was replied again & again only with the last announcement made regarding extending the number of attempts. Hence, I request you to address this issue as important and urgent. Expecting an appropriate action and reply sir..... Reply - III Dear Student, Please go through the following comparision for better understanding of the different courses: A) Regarding the priod of article for different courses comparison in given as under: (a) The period of articleship for PE-II passed students is three years as they have already spent two years in passing PE-I and PE-II examinations. Such students are eligible to write final examnation during their last twelve months of articleship . [Total period is five years to complete CA course] ( b) The period of training is 3 1/2 years in respect of PCC students as they start training soon after passing 10+2 and CPT examinations and can write PCC examination after 18 months of articleship. Such students are eligible to write final examnation after compeltion of prescribed period of articleship i.e. 3 1/2 years. [Total period is roughly less than four years to complete CA course] (c) A student after passing 10+2 and CPT examinations can register for IPCC and after completion of nine months of study course which also includes ITT and orientation course can write IPCC examination. After passing Group I of IPCC, he can register for articles and the period of articleship is three years. Such students are eligible to write final examnation during their last six months of articleship. [Total period is roughly more than four years to complete CA course]. So, institute has treated all students are equal in getting education in the field of accountancy. B) As you aware registration for PE-II and PCC were already discontinued and only examination are conducted to facilitate the student to complete the course within the prescribed time frame. And also it is informed to all students when will be held last examination either in PE-II and PCC. As per the regulation of IPCC (which is available on our web site also) all students of Intermediate/ PE-II/ PCC students can convert to IPCC.
