Jebsen Educational Foundation MBA Scholarships (2013-2014)
I have the pleasure to introduce you the Jebsen Educational Foundation MBA Scholarships, donated by
the Jebsen & Co. Ltd. exclusively to the HKUST MBA Program. We are excited and grateful to see the
continuous support from Jebsen to our MBA program, from which our new full-time students would
greatly benefit.
Applicants of this scholarship should be permanent residents of the Chinese Mainland and/or Hong Kong
SAR and have accepted our admission offer to the full-time MBA Program starting Fall 2013. Enclosed
please find the application guidelines and application form for the captioned scholarships for your
perusal.
If you wish to apply, please read the attached guidelines carefully and return the completed application
form with the supporting documents to us by the said deadline. Awardees of the scholarships will be
notified by the end of August, 2013.

Application Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of the Awards
The Jebsen Educational Foundation MBA Scholarships (refer to below as Jebsen Scholarship) is established by the Jebsen &
Co. Ltd. and offered exclusively to the HKUST MBA Program.
Those who wish to apply should read the following
application guidelines and the terms and conditions for the awards carefully before submitting the application.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Jebsen scholarship application, applicant has to be:

permanent resident of Mainland China and/or Hong Kong SAR; and
-
commencing MBA study in Fall 2013
Amount and number of awards
-
each scholarship is worth HK$125,000 and will be used to cover MBA program fee
-
there will be 9 awards for intake 2013
Application process and awardees notification
-
Application deadline : one week after your admissions interview

Applicants have to submit the below documents to the HKUST MBA Program Office by email to applymba@ust.hk
or by fax to (852) 2705 9596
i.
the completed and signed Jebsen scholarship application form; and
ii.
documentary proof of PRC or HKSAR permanent residency
(e.g. a copy of PRC resident card or HKID card)

Awardees of the Jebsen scholarship will be notified by the end of August, 2013
Selection criteria
Selection shall be based on applicant’s academic background, work experience and performance in the admissions process.
Jebsen & Co Ltd will make the final decision on awardees selection.
Funds arrangement
The scholarship money shall go directly to the HKUST for settling the second instalment of program fee which is due in
Spring 2014. Scholarship amount cannot be used to settle acceptance deposit.
All students need to pay the deposit of
HK$50,000 to accept the offer.
Exclusiveness of the award
The Jebsen Scholarships are offered exclusively to HKUST Full-time MBA students. Awardees of this scholarship shall not
hold other merit-based scholarships (such as HKUST MBA Merit Scholarship) during their course of MBA study at HKUST.
