1. My Hometown
My hometown is Wuxi, which is not far from Shanghai. Wuxi is a modern city. There are lots of high buildings. Most of us live in flats because it is too expensive to buy a house. My hometown is a beautiful city. On either side of the roads, there are some big trees and nice flowers.
The roads are also very clean, which makes people happy and comfortable. The weather here is very nice. I like autumn best, for it is neither hot nor cold but very cool. I love Wuxi. Welcome to my hometown.
2. Advantages and Disadvantages of the Mobile Phone
Like everything else, mobile phones have both advantages and disadvantages. First, it is useful. As a wireless mobile telephone, it is easy and handy to call wherever one goes and call the one however far away he is. Second, it is convenient. Whenever one meets trouble or something urgent, one can make a call immediately.
However, the mobile phone also has many disadvantages. First, it is expensive to buy and costly to pay the bills. Second, it is also easy to lose and costly to get it repaired. Third, it is alleged the microwaves in it might do harm to people health. I believe its advantages will far outweigh disadvantages soon.

3. My Plan for the Spring Festival
3.1 Spring Festival is coming. There are altogether 7 days, so I need to plan it in advance. Firstly, I plan to have a good rest for the first 2 days when I can have a good sleep and don’t worry to get up late, and then do a good cleaning of the home. Secondly, I would go to Hang Zhou, one of the most beautiful cities with my husband for a 2 days’ trip. I am sure we both will enjoy the trip. Thirdly, I would fly to Beijing to attend my classmate’s wedding. These above are my plans for the Spring
Festival.
3.2 Spring festival is the most important festival for Chinese people.
Many people will prepare many things for the spring festival. Now this is my plan for the spring festival. The first, I will visit my friends and my relatives. The second, I will make a big snow man with my daughter and my wife. The third, I will stay with my parents, because I have no more time to stay with them at peacetime. This is my plan for the spring festival. I hope all of you have a good time in the spring festival.
4. My Favorite TV program
The News report has always been my favorite TV program. The
News report contains a large amount of information ranging from the international political situation to the latest football game. And the most important character is its fast pace. Because of this fast pace, news

programs can contain much information in a short time. In my opinion, the News report is more than a TV program. It is a way of communication.
From this program, people can know and understand world affairs. I especially appreciate this benefit of watching the news.
5. The Sports Activities I Like Best
Just as lots of teenagers take to pop music, I love basketball. It is my favorite sports. It’s part of my life. I began to play basketball in my childhood. I still remember the good old days when I played with my classmates after school. Later on, as I grew up, almost everything changed, but this sport-playing basketball remained and my love of it grew even stronger.
I love this sport because it brings joys and health to my life. When I got tired from office work, I went to the sports ground and felt refreshed.
If there were worries and cares from daily life, I went to the sports ground.
There everything went away except basketball. It is basketball that keeps me in good shape and mood.
6. Physical Exercise
Nowadays more and more people are concerned about their health, but how to keep healthy? Without doubt, physical exercise makes great contribution to health. Research shows that getting plenty of exercise makes the heart beat faster and the lungs work harder.
As far as I am concerned, I usually play table tennis with my friends.

Besides table tennis ， swimming, jogging and yoga are also my choices.
7. Fellow students,
Attention please. We are going to visit the Science Museum tomorrow, so that firstly we will gather together at the school gate at 8 am and later walk to the Museum. During the visit, everyone should listen carefully, watch carefully and write down those interesting things.

8. I love learning foreign languages, especially English because
English is the most widely spoken language in the world. It is used by countries all over the world. For example, if you want to find a nice job, you probably need to be good at English, and when you surf on the
Internet, you'll see many dialogues and keywords in English. If you don't know them, then you'll have to spend a lot of time looking them up in an
English dictionary. Therefore we must try harder to learn English and improve our English, and we could learn more besides.
9. Where to Live
Somebody are fond of living in the city. On one hand, they can enjoy all the benefits of the modern society, such as advanced pubic transport system or different kinds of entertainment. On the other hand,

they can spend less time on the road to work.
Others do like living in the country. Only by being close to nature can we recover our vitality and go back our true selves. Breathing in fresh air, smelling the fragrance of flowers and listening to the sounds of birds and streams, we can release our tensions.
As far as I am concerned, I prefer to living in the country. The most important reason is the good environment there. Besides it, the reasonable price of the house is another concern.
10. Plant More Trees
Have you ever imagined a world without trees? Try it, and you will see the whole world dry up and look like a broken tortoise shell. In that case, tree is very important natural resources.
Planting more trees makes great contribution the improvement of the environment. On one hand, planting trees is an effective way to reduce green house. On the other hand, trees also provide something valuable to us.
There are some effective steps we can take now to plant more trees.
First, strict laws must be enforced. Second, the government should offer subsidies to people who plant trees. Most important of all, every citizen must develop an awareness of the importance of trees and remember: "no trees means no living things."

Nowadays, more and more attention has been paid to different form of entertainment. Entertainment is a very important outlet for people, which can bring us happiness.
As for the form of entertainment, there are many choices. My favorite form of entertainment is watching TV. …

Nowadays, the use of digital products is widespread. Computers,
MP3 players and digital cameras have become a crucial part of our daily life. Whatever we are engaged in, we could hardly do anything without them.
Digital products play an important role in everybody's life in the contemporary world. They bring us great convenience. For example, computers help raise our work efficiency. We don't have to bury ourselves in piles of paper in order to search for data. Just click the mouse, and the information we need will pop up on the computer screen in a few seconds.
As for us students, digital products like MP3 or MP4 players have become necessities. With these gadgets, we are able to listen to English whenever and wherever we want. Moreover, with digital products, life becomes more interesting and colorful. For instance, with digital cameras and the like, we can take photographs or delete them at will without worrying about the cost of film.
