It is also the best University in the centre and south area of our nation. ARRIVAL IN ROME 4.1 How to reach Tor Vergata Step 1) Your arrival could be through: ● “Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport” also known as “Fiumicino International Airport”, is Italy's largest airport, it is only 32 km away from the centre of Rome and you can reach the centre of the city by train, taxi or getting special shuttle transfers. ● “G.B. Pastine Roma Ciampino Airport” is situated in Via Appia Nuova, 15 km from the centre of Rome. It is a short distance from the Rome city ring road (GRA) and offers all the means of transport to get to the capital. Both airports are connected with the city centre and give you the opportunity to get the metro line you need to reach Tor Vergata University. Within 8 days from arrival, all non-Eu citizens who hold a study visa for Italy must apply for a stay permit for study purposes. The stay permit is issued by the local police station (Questura - Ufficio Stranieri) but according to the most recent regulation application, now it can be delivered to authorized Post Offices. The Post Officer will identify you; you will then have to pay € 27,50 (paid through postal money transfer - bollettino postale) for the issuing of the electronic version of the document and € 30,00 for the service (to be paid directly to the Post officer). According to the length of your stay in Italy, you will have to pay a minimum of € 80 to a maximum of € 200. The Post office will leave you a receipt of the Stay permit application. You need it to open a bank account, or to get a cellular phone.
