Project Description:
Addition of a new media center and gymnasium, renovate the existing
administration offices, upgrade of HVAC system, misc. kitchen
equipment upgrades, upgrade fire alarm system, renovate existing
covered walkways, improve site lighting, hazardous materials survey,
the lighting replacement project (PCB abatement and lighting
upgrade), improved site access and drainage, and misc. ADA
upgrades.

A. The Bid Opening for the Library and Gym project was Thursday,
February 14th. Adroit Construction was the low bidder with a bid of
$2,698,700 (under budget by $33,410)
B. Issued Notice of Intent to Award to Adroit Construction.
C. Met with Adroit Construction to review the scope of work,
schedule, and other requirements.
D. Met with the principal, Susan Hollandsworth, to update her on the
schedule and review the construction process.
E. The City Planning Department is continuing their review of the
drawings for the building permit.
F. Met with Dave Fawcett (Coleman Creek Consulting) to establish
the scope of work for the abatement of the floor tile in the existing
gym/cafeteria, kitchen, and support areas.
A. Coordinate with the Adroit Construction to sign the contract.
B. Issue Notice to Proceed to Adroit Construction.
C. Coordinate the Pre-Construction meeting with the Adroit
Construction.
D. Start the bid process for asbestos floor tile removal in the kitchen,
existing gym/cafeteria and support areas to be completed this
summer.
E. Complete permitting process with the City of Ashland.
