a. Brief overview of Course:
This is one semester course designed to acquaint the undergraduate students of
marketing with the skill and strategies for selling goods and services to final
consumers who use them for personal and non-business activities. The skills and
knowledge taught in this course will enable the students understand and operate
one man business venture successfully after their course of study.
b. Course Objectives/Goals:
At the end of this course, the students are expected to be able to:
 Understand the nature and scope of retail management.
 Recognize the importance of marketing research in retail and wholesale business.
 Familiar with different retail and wholesale institutions existing in Nigeria.
 Appreciate the role of pricing strategy in retail and wholesale business.
