A Message from our President about the Joint Christmas
Party in December
Dear ALE Elite members,
ALE Elite joined four other Toastmasters Clubs on December 21st for a Joint Christmas Party.
There were 148
participants in this party. And, 40 participants were from ALE Elite. Wow, how amazing it was!
Our club was in charge of decoration and reception! Moreover, we performed an interesting show in the
party. Our member as well as Division A's governor Amanda Hu conducted a game session. In addition, our hero,
the champion of Humorous speech contest in Taiwan, Shang Su was one of the master's of ceremony.
I deeply appreciate all your help and participation.
Sandy Chen, the leader of our decoration team, did an absolutely great job for the party decorations. April Cheng,
Roger Wang, William Huang, Katherine Chieng, and Emily Lee spent lots of their precious time for the
decorations.
Dear decoration team, thank you so much! Because of you, the atmosphere in the party venue was so warm and
Christmas like. ;)
Sylvia Parng, the leader of thereception team, handled all the things happening on reception/registration table.
148 participants, goodness, I cannot image how hard this assignment was. Matilda Hsu, Susan Hsu, and Juby
Tseng were so responsible and took leave that afternoon because of the party.
Thank you so much, the loveliest receptionists I've ever seen!
Roger Wang and David Enterline, the leaders of promotion and registration, did a great job. We can see that ALE
Elite was the biggest group in the party. ;) Moreover, Gloria Chou invited 10 friends to join us; David Enterline
invited 7 friends; Roger Wang, Shang Su, Sandy Chen, and Sylvia Liu also invited their friends to have fun
with us. The greatest thing in ALE Elite is that we love to share our happiness with our friends.
Oh! Yes! Our show! Our talented leading actors William Huang and Roger Wang performed an excellent funny
drama. You guys are truly potential actors. I should invite you guys to join my theater. And, our very cute dancers,
Matilda Hsu, Juby Tseng, Soula Lo, David Enterline, Jane Ho, Sylvia Liu, Sylvia Parng, Gloria Chou, Susan Hsu,
and April Cheng, and Shang Su, all did wonderful job. I love you guys.
This show was created by William Huang, Roger Wang, Shang Su, April Cheng, Gloria Chou, and Susan Hsu.
They got together during their weekends and then the script just came out from their brilliant brains. You can
never image how incredible that moment was. Furthermore, Amanda Hu was very kind to play the music for our
show. And, our professional photographer Sinfa Sue was so kind to bring his video camera and record it.

English Point of the Month – for your improvement!
I sometimes hear individual evaluators begin their constructive comments with something like
the following: “now I would like to give you some comments for your future improvement”.
When I hear this, I often think “why future improvement? Why not NOW?”
It may not seem like much, but hearing this make me shiver. Let’s talk about the “now”
improvement; not something in the future. So, I recommend we drop the future and give
meaningful, constructive comments for our speakers improvement!
