S.C. RIG SERVICE S.A., having the headquarters in Constanta Port, Berth 34, is a joint stock company with
100% private shares capital, established in November 2001 as a result of Petrom S.A. Romanian National Oil
Company's decision to reorganize its activity by externalizing the mechanical-energetic onshore and offshore
activity, on Midia Terminal and on drilling and production platforms in the Black Sea and abroad.

to be moved onboard a barge, to manoeuvre the jacking system
during loading, transport and unloading the platform by barge.
Our teams have moved drilling jack-up platforms on long distances,
from Black Sea to Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf or from
Persian Gulf to Bengal Gulf and back.
RIG SERVICE has been involved in repairs, upgrading and various
types of modernization on all former PETROM’s jack-up drilling rigs
in Romanian shipyard and abroad.

specialized engineers authorized by SKF for equipment vibration
measurements conducted with: vibration measurement kits type:
Microlog CMXA 50 - 1 piece, Microlog GX - CMXA 70 - 1 piece, and
for the electromotor, pump alignment etc is conducted with the
alignment kit laser type: FIXTURLASER XAS 1-0755.

Preparation of welds are made according to ASME B31.3, API
1104, DIN8551, DIN8558 and DIN8552 as well as to ISCIR/ANRregulation and Germanischer Lloyd.
Developer and investor in wind energy industry: our company is the
owner of more than 30,000,000 sqm of lands in Dobrogea Region,
placed in the Eastern part of Romania, between the Danube and the
Black Sea. The lands are located in windy areas, most of them
(over 90%) offering the necessary conditions to accomplish the
basic requirement for developing wind parks: road access, national
electric network access, environmental non-restricted zones, etc.
RIG SERVICE has already started its own wind park projects. For
the very beginning, to accomplish the legal requirements for
determine the yield potential for wind power projects, our company
have acquired and installed German accredited 85 m measurement
towers equipped with sensors and accessories for collecting data.
The recorded wind data have confirmed and even exceeded our
expectations and allow us to go over to the next step: execution of
the projects for installed power of 65 MW wind parks. According to
our plan, the fist wind turbine of 2.5 MW will be installed during the
first quarter of 2010. In the mean time, we will continue to develop
new successive wind park projects on our own and also in
association with national and foreign investors interested in this field
of activity.
