CUPE 4163 (Component 3) – SESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS
Fall Term (September 1 – December 31, 2013)
Please note that, while the University does encourage and accept external applications for

SOCW 200A: An Introduction to Social Work Practice (On-campus and DE/online)
SOCW 312: Collaborative Conversations: Working Within Communities (DE)
SOCW 319: Research for Social Change (DE)
SOCW 350A: Social Work, Social Justice, and the Law (DE)
SOCW 356: Human Development & the Social Environment in a Global Context (DE)
SOCW 413: Critical Social Work Practices (DE)
SOCW 469: Introduction to Disability Studies (DE)
SOCW 471: Addictions in Society: Theory, Practice, and Policy (DE)
SOCW 475: Child Welfare Practice (DE)

Qualifications:




an MSW or BSW and related graduate degree required
knowledge of course content
recent social work practice experience
experience in delivering online courses using Moodle or other learning
management system is preferred
Instructor responsibilities include:
Individual telephone and email consultation with students, regular and ongoing
facilitation of the Moodle (online) component, weekly facilitation/teaching of a threehour class (on-campus only), grading assignments and submitting final class grade sheet.
Instructors must have access to a computer with Internet connection.
Closing date for application: Friday, June 14, 2013.
Salary range per course is: $1,297.00 to $1,578.00 per month for the period, and is
commensurate with experience.
