NMAT 2010 Analysis NMAT IN A NUT SHELL NMAT 2010 is the first attempt by the institute to go online, however the process was smooth and efficient. Talking about the test, it was a mix of easy, moderate and difficult/tricky questions. There were 120 questions to be cracked in 120 mins. The number of questions spread over various section was not uniform and as a result there was no standard time that can be allotted to each section. The major cliché was there was no negative marking instruction mentioned in the complete test, so it was difficult to judge whether the test has any negative marking or not. The section is from easy to moderate but with no new variety except some fill in the blanks based on prepositions which were a bit tricky. There were synonyms and antonyms of words like petulant, admonition, emphasis etc. The time devoted to this section could be around 35-40 mins. An overall attempt of 22-24 questions with 90% accuracy could be an ideal attempt to score a decent percentile. There were total 48 questions and as this is the last section so maximum time should be devoted to this section which could be around 45-50 mins. The questions on quant were from all the topics, the idea must be to judge the skills of the test taker on all the topics. DI was a bit time consuming as it involved lots of calculation. An attempt of 34-36questions with 90% accuracy could be an ideal score for this section.
