Introduction
The Qualiflyer Group is centered around Swissair. It was actually the second
airline alliance to be formed (following Star), but since the Austrian Airlines
Group has left Qualiflyer, it has become smaller in size, where it was already
the smallest one (of the branded ones).

This is the "newest" airline alliance. Calling itself "one of the worlds' top
three" alliances, SkyTeam is also an alliance which claims global
coverage, and "the most trans-Atlantic connections offered by any
alliance". It does not strive to be the biggest alliance, in future.

Oneworld is the second-biggest airline alliance at this time. It can
be seen as AA's and BA's "response" to Lufthansa's and United's
Star Alliance. New members have been steadily added, and
worldwide coverage plus some big brand-names show up.

Introduction
The "Wings" alliance as such does not yet exist as a brand-name. The comingto-be of "Wings" depends on developments with KLM and a possible new
alliance partner at this time. The participants here seem to be in no big hurry to
invest big sums in "Wings" name development, even though a "Wings Pilots'
Union" already exists.
Slogan
no alliance slogan yet; KLM/Northwest's one is "Worldwide reliability".

"Plan" laid down in 1989, but yet to be founded (and named!) officially.
Approval of the KLM/NWA cooperation goes back to 11 January, 1993.
