8) The National Partners of the American Theatre Award for Design Excellence
The award was presented to one of the Barbizon Design Award finalists displaying their work at the Kennedy
Center. The award is funded through contributions by past and present members of the KCACTF National
Committee and is co-sponsored by The Korean National University of the Arts (KNUA). NAPAT members
Lin Conaway and Andy Gibbs selected this year’s recipient.
The winner will spend a week in Seoul, Korea visiting Theatre Design and Traditional Arts classes, visiting
various Design Studios, and attending performances among other activities. The award will cover round trip
airfare, housing, and a meal allowance.
