Oral Reading and Discussion of
Our Town: We will continue our
reading and discussion of Act I in
the Reader‘s Theatre format. We
will concentrate on identifying the
characters since almost all will be
present in all three acts. At the end
of class we will review the
questions on the study guide that
we covered in class.

Oral Reading and Discussion of
Our Town: We will continue our
reading and discussion of Act II in
the Reader‘s Theatre format. We
will concentrate on identifying the
characters since almost all will be
present in all three acts. At the end
of class we will review the
questions on the study guide that
we covered in class. As we come to
vocabulary words, we will discuss
their use.
Students will complete a character
review sheet to use as a study aide
for their test.
Our Town: Oral Reading and
Discussion of Our Town: We will
continue our reading and discussion
of Act III in the Reader‘s Theatre
format. We will concentrate on
identifying the characters since

identify characters, answer plot
questions, and respond to true and
false questions about the play.

watch the video of Our Town. They
will see how the play is staged in a
television production.
Our Town Monologue: Using the
handout and example, students will
compose two monologues modeled
after Emily’s. They should be typed
on a word processor. We will read
them in class on after break.
